Happy Friday! Now that we went back to basics last week let's spice things up a bit with a pretty print this week. I was immediately drawn to Rashida Coleman-Hale's Washi Floral Cream because of the color combination. FABRIC FRIDAY

Mary had a polka-dotted little lamb... So maybe it wasn't polka-dotted but if it looked as cute as these little lambs I'm sure she would have taken it. I am especially loving the colors in Laurie Wisbrun's Modern Whimsy, Organic Cotton, Sheep Park. There is just something very pleasant and happy about this fabric. I think it has to do with all the cute little sheep grazing about.

To enter for a chance to win one yard of Laurie Wisbrun's Modern Whimsy, Organic Cotton, Sheep Park tell us your favorite nursery rhyme. Mine is one that I heard as an adult called, Who Killed Cock Robin. It's super dark (as I'm sure you can tell from the title) but I just love the tune. Leave your comment anytime between now and Friday, December 23rd. Tweet, Stumble, or share on Facebook and leave another comment letting us know. Come back every day for new entries. We'll randomly select a winner and announce right here next Friday.

GIVEAWAY: Custom Toy Portrait and Matching Stationary Set from First Friends Portraits

A custom toy portrait sounds genius, right? That's what we thought when we first heard of First Friends Custom Toy Portraits by Erin. As you can see Clare was absolutely thrilled when her portrait of "Mermaid" arrived. Here are a few words from Erin on how this ingenious idea came to be...

First Friends celebrates children’s love for their favorite toys. As a Yale-trained artist and mother of 3-year-old twins, I was inspired to create First Friends after painting portraits of my twins’ lovies. When they saw their toy portraits for the first time, they jumped around and screamed with joy….and thus the idea for First Friends was born.

In addition to custom toy portraits, First Friends now offers personalized stationary items featuring your toy portrait, custom portraits of children and pets, as well as gift certificates (Last minute gift crisis? Gift Certificates are a super fast and easy way to give a toy portrait as a gift - I can email you a gift certificate to print at home immediately after receiving your order).

Now that you know exactly who you would want to give a First Friends Custom Toy Portrait to, keep reading to find out how to enter for the chance to win a custom toy portrait and complete matching stationary set after the jump.
