I would decorate the curtains in my toddler's new bedroom with the butterflies! We are doing a butterfly/giraffe themed room for her and this would be perfect. I want her room to be one that will grow up with her, mainly in an effort to not have to re-do it until she is at least 10 or 11 years old, and simple touches like this would be perfect for that! Thank you for the opportunity!

I would love to embroider little handkerchiefs for new baby girls as an "heirloom" to carry on their wedding day. I thought of it while watching the movie You've Got Mail and Meg Ryan's character shows a little girl the hanky her mother embroidered for her. Wouldn't that be fun?!

I would love to learn how to do embroidery and shadow embroidery, I have been looking at this book on amazon recently. I would love to make my son a romper with one of those square collars and put one of these embroideries on the center and then do a float type dress for my daughter with a large collar and put a matching one on her collar. Then I hope to make each of them quilts with a few squares of shadow embroidery on them.

Well I am new to heirloom sewing and working on my first project which is a dress for a three year old that our pastor is trying to adopt. I think this would be the finishing touch to such a special dress and beautiful child the Lord is placing in their family. Last night and this morning I had been searching on the internet for “how-to’s” on shadow embroidery. I had seen this book in the fabric store but considered it for a later purchase. Then when I saw this opportunity today, wow! It could not have come at a more perfect time. I am almost finished with the dress but wanted to add some special touches to it. I would use this book for this and all the future heirloom projects that I want to complete including my goal project which will be a beautiful christening outfit for my first grandchild which I know will be a blessing when our Lord says it is time! Thanks and I hope I win!!!

What would I adorn? What wouldn't I adorn. My daughter is pregnant with her first child after several years of trying so boy or girl I will be adorning everything. We are both in love with the idea of making things to last for generations so I can't go wrong with shadow embroidery. I fell in love with shadow work the first time I saw it and want to do an entire bedroom set with it. My granddaughter is 5 and goes though my Sew Beautiful magazine to pick out the dresses and things she wants me to make for her and her dolls and I can't wait to make matching outfits with shadow work. and last but not least, I want a table cloth and place mats and everything for a nice tea party. I have been planning a dress up tea party (hats required) for a while and this would make the pictures perfect and set the tone for the whole affair. Well a girl can dream. Here's hoping!

This would be wonderful!! I'm getting ready to make some curtains for my cousin's nursery, and I would love to embroider some super cute butterflies on them to match the theme! :o)
