Grandma Gloria's Cinnamon-y Pumpkin Bars of Love
My mom, better known as Grandma Gloria, bakes these treats up and they captivate everyone - all cinnamon and pumpkin sweetness! I thought I better share them before pumpkin goes into hiding until next fall. Recipe after the jump...
Assemble Your Ingredients:
8 TBSP unsalted butter melted
4 TBSP unsalted butter cut into little pieces
3 eggs
10 oz pumpkin butter ( you can buy it or make your own)
2 TBSP milk
1 TBSP all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 box cake mix
Preheat oven to 350 and grease 9x 13 baking pan
Reserve 1 cup of cake mix in a small bowl
In a bowl stir together the rest of the cake mix, 1 egg, and the 8 TBSP melted butter: Pour into prepared pan.
In another bowl stir together pumpkin butter 2 eggs and the milk: Spread over cake mix in prepared pan.
Add flour, cinnamon, and sugar to the bowl with the reserved cake flour and stir together. Add the cold butter. using a pastry blender or fork cut the butter until small crumbles form and clump together. Crumble this mixture over prepared pan with the other ingredients.
Bake until golden brown about 40 minutes. Put pan on wire rack to cool then cut into squares.

i made something very similar with a williams sonoma recipe for thanksgiving. so good.
I love the sound of this, but have no idea what pumpkin butter is... Might have something to do with being in Australia?
I found a recipe through Google that mentions pumpkin puree, apple juice, cinnamon, ginger, sugar, ground cloves and nutmeg... would this be the same thing?
