GIVEAWAY: 2-Month Subscription to fair ivy

I have a confession to make. With all the crafting I do here in Prudent Baby, you might think that my friends and family are the lucky recipients of thoughtful handmade gifts. You might even thing that I package them fancily and send them on time. Well you would be wrong on all counts. It's the king of clichés but all my quality gift-giving went out the window when I had kids. Dreadful.

My New Year's resolution this year was even to be better about the birthday gifts. I have NOT had ONE success. So imagine my delight when I was introduced to fair ivy. It's time to call in the professionals to rescue this deadbeat gift-giver!

Owner Lucy Fairweather says...

fair ivy was created in 2009 after a realization that so little of what we receive in the mail is a surprise anymore.  The only real mail that comes to the door is usually bills, Amazon packages, or junk mail!   Where's the fun in that?

fair ivy is a unique subscription service—we send awesome, cute, mystery packages to our customers once a month.  A large portion of the items are handmade, and our packages are additionally as eco-friendly as possible, using crinkle paper instead of styrofoam to protect all of the exciting goodies!   You never know what you are going to receive, but you always know it is going to be wonderful.  There are packages for everyone—teens, women, men and even pets!

You can even buy packages to start sending in the future—so you can take care of all your birthday and Christmas shopping early!

Or maybe you are a great gift giver but SOMEONE YOU KNOW is not. Maybe an adult male who lives in your home? Time for a subtle hint? Save him from wandering the mall lost and confused and save you from faking a smile when you open a neon bar sign.

And if all this talk of sweet little surprises has you wanting more. Check out fair ivy's surprise blog: The Surpriseaholic, a great place for people to randomly win handmade surprises.

I bet you want to know how to enter to win a free two month subscription...

To enter for the chance to win, visit fair ivy and peruse their surprise package subscriptions. Tell us if you would pick the fair ivy or the fun ivy if you won and who would get it! I'd pick the fair ivy and I'd give it to... um, me. So much for improving my gift-giving status.

And since you know we always love to give extra entries, "like" fair ivy on facebook and leave a second comment letting us know. You'll be glad you did, there are so many great gift ideas!

If you share this giveaway on Facebook, Twitter or Stumble Upon, leave a comment for each as an additional entry.

And also, feel free to come back every day! Comments will close Monday, June 13th at 11:59. Winner will have 5 days to contact us before prize is awarded to a new winner.

I'm the same way! I love crafting but am terrible at gifts. This is awesome. I think I'd pick the fun ivy. I'm not sure who I'd send it to, I think I might keep it. Sounds amazing!

I would pick the fair ivy, and give it to my husband's grandmother. Grandpa just had surgery to remove a large tumor, and his illness has been very hard on this quiet, simple natured, proud woman. I love her to death and would like to send her something special "just because"

I would choose the 'fun ivy' and send it to my cousin, whom I consider the sister I never had. We've both become mothers in the last couple of years, and we both have babies on the way. We've shared so much the last few years and we could definitely share some laughs over these. (And you bet I'd make her share everything with me.)

One of my goals this year was to send out more mail. I love getting mail so I imagine others do as well. I would choose Fun Ivy. My plan would be to have it sent to me, then I would resend one item to different people. That way lots of people would get little surprises in their mailbox rather than just one.

I think it's about time for another mailing of just that sort. I'm off to the dollar store!

I LOVE this site and the gift surprises. I would choose Fun Ivy, and send it to my best girl Emily, who is very young and heart, and who I no longer live near, so a gift subscription would make staying in touch that much more delightful.

I would pick the fair ivy and hopefully I would not keep it (although I would be sorely tempted) and give it to my friend Stephanie, who just lost her little sister and who I will be able to spend less time with since we are moving away at the end of the summer. What a good reminder of how fun it is to make someone feel special!

I love fair ivy. I would give it to my cousin, Brittany, who would totally love something like this. She is a devoted stay-at-home mom who makes children's hand-bands at craft fairs and lives with her mother-in-law (who is not a picnic); so, I know she could use a pick-me-up and a little something to show her that she is appreciated :)

OK, if I could afford it I would choose both. Each for different people. To choose just one, it would be the fair ivy and I would give it to a mentor that I've lost touch with. She is so deserving and would be tickled to find these little gifts each month. I don't think I would even let her know who it was from. Just say "from one God fearing woman to another :)". That's what I would do.

so for this giveaway i think i'd choose fun ivy.. i owe lots of people gifts and these ones are so so so super cute!! i like making things for me/my house/ my baby and struggle to make things for others - so this is ideal type of subscription! what a great idea.

thanks prudent baby!!
