GIVEAWAY: CLICKIN' MOMS MEMBERSHIP
We are excited to bring you an excellent new giveaway from our sponsor Clickin' Moms!
After diving into their site this week, I'm totally inspired to learn more about my camera and take control of my photography. As a mom, I'm typically shooting wriggly, squirmy kids. I've always told myself that I don't have time to set up shots, select aperture and shutter speed before my subject runs away. I just put everything on auto and hope for the best! But since Clickin' Moms is a site for women and mothers, run by women and mothers, the tutorials and advice are realistic for our lifestyle and how we shoot. But you don't have to be a mom to take advantage of all this site has to offer. Here is what they say about the site...
Clickin' Moms is a community of women who have a passion for photography. From amateur family photographers to hobbyists and seasoned pros, we help each other and provide the support necessary to move each member's photography to the next level. Clickin' Moms features informative and easy to understand tutorials on photography, post processing and managing photography businesses. Clickin' Moms also hosts contests and photography challenges with exciting and valuable prizes. Among over 8,000 members, you will learn, inspire, and be inspired. If you aren't hooked on photography already, we will change that soon!
Sounds good shutterbugs! Doesn't it?
Read more for how to enter...
Now for how you enter for the chance to win a complimentary 1 YEAR MEMBERSHIP!
Hop on over to Clickin' Moms to see what they are all about then come back and leave a comment telling us what site features look interesting to you. FYI, You can also buy a 7 day trial membership for $6 and see what it's really all about.
For an extra entry, leave a second comment telling us where you are with your photography? Happy with your point-n-shoot? Pining away for a DSLR? Got the gear but still shooting on Auto? Dabbling with Manual? Thinking of going Pro? Already a Pro? No matter where you are, if you have any interest in taking your photography to the next level, Clickin' Moms is an amazing resource.
Want more chances to win?
Share the giveaway on facebook by clicking "like" below, or tweet the giveaway, then leave another comment each time letting us know for an additional entry. Come back every day for a new entry. Entries will close at midnight October 17th and a winner will be randomly selected.

Definitely interested in taking advantage of some tutorials and pointers on taking sharper photos!
I'd say I'm an advanced beginner. I'd like to go full manual, but I'm not quite there yet!
Tweeted the giveaway (tayamg)
I'm really interested in the forum of other photography moms and the tutorials!
emilycake84@gmail.com
I don't know quite where I'd put my skill level. I'm comfortable in manual on my Canon 50D. But I still have lots to learn! I don't aspire to do photography for a business but I'd love my personal photos to be professional quality.
emilycake84@gmail.com
Tutorials!! I need practice, and need guidance on how to go about it!
I have a Nikon D90. Have had it since our daughter was born 18 months ago, and still am not through the manual yet! I really want to learn, but need guidance.
I'm LIKE in' this!
I need tons of help with my photography, so I would benefit from everything, but especially the tutorials!
I'd be interested in learning how to use my camera to more of its potential.
I have a DSLR and it has really improved my pictures. But I don't use it as well as I could.
I have a Nikon D90 that we purchased before my 24 month old daughter was born. I still don't know how to use half of its potential.
I'd love to be inspired by the photos from other mamas.
I so want to be able to take full advantage of my camera and learn how to take amazing pictures.
lbroadstreet@tds.net
Im a sucker for a tutorial... I love to learn!
tutorials!! i have stage fright when taking actual pictures remembering the relationship between aperture/shutter speed/exposure and not getting grainy pictures in low light!
I just got a new dslr and would love to take it off auto
and I'm typically on Aperture Priority mode on my D60 with my 50mm lens, but geez, trying to manual focus on a moving 21 month old little girl is nearly impossible.
i like it on FB
I'm interested in the tutorials and photo help/critique...I certainly need all the help I can get!
I am a definite beginner. My point-and-shoot is too complicated for me, but I try :) I'd love to be able to take beautiful photos of my baby girl!!!
'Liked' the giveaway on FB.
Tutorials and Workshops! I need help!
I need the tutorials!!!
I'm ok with the camera, but that's bc i have a good one. My husband is just gifted at all things creative
I liked on Facebook!
And also, I am a mama with a DSLR but just venturing out of auto settings right now... need some help branching out!
I tweeted the giveaway too!
I want to recreat some photos I saw on the wall at the pediatrician's office.
I currently take as many pictures of my kids as I can get in while they are still interested in posing. Then I sift through the photos for one where all three of them are looking cute.
I liked on FB
The tutorials would probably be the biggest help. I first heard about Clickin' Moms through the MomTog blog and have been intrigued ever since.
Content with my Point & Shoot... but so wishing for a DSLR someday...
I just like the idea of being able to share photos on a safe site. I think that's why I don't share any now.
Dabbling with Manual on my DSLR and pinning away for more (expensive) lens.
I miss my college photography classes for critiques and knowledge. This site looks perfect!
How fun! I'd love to get tips on how to get those cute shots.
I come from a family of photographers, but I didn't get the gene. I wish I could take awesome pictures of my kids. Maybe I'll blame the equipment haha.
I think the tutorials would be most useful! I'd love to learn more!
I have a DSLR, but usually just take pics on auto or my husband sets it up for me! I'd love to be able to learn how to do it myself!
I really like the look of the Photo Help & Critique and the Tutorials. We have a DSLR but I'm too intimidated to use it.
I'm actually really enjoying using my iphone and have been using that for my 365. But as I said above i really want to get to using the DSLR.
tweeted! (collington)
This site looks great. Any tutorials would be so helpful. I have a good camera, and I think I have an eye for setting up shots... just need some technical know-how.
This is exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to try the workshops & learn everything I can!!
... (post #2) I'm a semi-pro. I actually went to college for and have my degree in Photography. And it wasn't that long ago, either. But, I feel like what I learned was so formal and old fashioned... I'm dying to get back into it and learn how to take what I know and really make it shine. I'm super-thrilled and joining asap!
Wow, what a great site and invaluable resource for us mamas looking to expand our photography skills. The feature that I'm most excited about is the forum. So many times I've had questions about simple things, but I'm too embarrassed/hesistant to post in a regular photography forum. This site would allow me to feel comfortable posting in a forum where other moms are learning the exact same thing! :)
As for my progress with my DSLR, I've had my camera for nearly three years but I'm embarrassed to admit I'm still shooting on auto! I know how to put in in manual and I can play with settings but my shots are very hit or miss. What's the point in having a DLSR if I don't even know how to use it?! :)
... (#3) and I'm totally sharing this on fb right now! and with another photo mama friend who is UH-mazing and doesn't need to learn anything, but I'm sure she'll love it anyway!
The tutorials would be amazing to learn from.
I'm currently lusting after a DSLR. The point and shoot camera just isn't cutting it anymore.
Tutorials and workshops! I had a disaster night-shoot this weekend.
I "liked" it on FB.
I want to check out the tutorials as well as the workshops and contests!

I'm still learning how to use my nikon d90
I am really interested in the tutorials to learn how to better use my fancy camera
I have a digital SLR, but still use Auto most of the time.
I'm in serious need of some tutorials. Did you see The Office last week where Erin used all the film on her disposable camera then immediately disposed of it? My photography skills just barely outrank hers!
I like it!
I like that they have lessons and challenges. I need that motivation to graduate out of "auto" picture on my DSLR!
Just got a DSLR a few months ago with the hope of taking some really great photos of my kids. BUT I'm still shooting primarily in "auto" and I want to learn how to really use my fancy camera!
man i would love to win this i have a Sony DSLR but i dont know how to use it better than auto! I would love to take great pictures of my kids!
I have a Cannon DSLR but would love to learn new tricks on making my photos better.

I am interested in the workshops and the photo contest on the site. :) Great giveaway!!
YAY!!! My two favorite things meshed together right here on Prudent Baby :) sewing and photography. I think clickin moms sounds GREAT. I would take advantage of the photo critique and the optional workshops.. and of course, tutorials are ALWAYS nice...
I just bought my first DSLR. I got a Nikon D5000 and am completely intimidated by it!! I study online and have joined photography sites hoping to expand on the little photography knowledge I have :)
I liked this post on Facebook... entry #3 :)
Im interested in tutorials
Great site -- I love the idea of tutorials and photo feedback!
I have a DSLR, and I've taken one "one day" photography class to learn more about manual modes, but with my little girl, I definitely rely more on automatic.
The site features I'm most interested in are tutorials and the Photo Help and Critique.
WOW! What a great site! I love photography and bought a DSLR just before the birth of my gorgeous baby girl! I'd love to be able to take more professional shots. I have an Olympus E-450, but only use Auto settings at this stage.
I'd love to try the 4 weeks workshop!
this is a great website for women passionate about photography. thanks for hosting this giveaway!
I'd be interested in seeing what topics are covered in their workshops.
I graduated with a photo degree in 2001, at that time we all knew digital would soon have it's day but the quality wasn't there yet. I took a few related jobs off and on and then time off to have kids. I've tried to keep up, but sad to say I feel a little out of date. I have a point and shoot that allows for more sophisticated controls, but when it comes to snapping quick pics of the kids it's most on auto snapping away. I've been lately wishing for a DSLR just to feel more professional and artsy with my subjects. Thanks for sharing the site, very much up my alley.
I'm really interested in the photo help and critique, as well as workshops. Great giveaway!
I have a dSLR, but could definitely use some help getting away from using auto all the time. My husband and I have been discussing getting a new lens for it and I'm sure we could use some advice on what to get.
I am really interested in the tutorials as well as the contests and giveaways. What I like about the contests is it will give my photos exposure and I will get feedback on them as well as getting the chance to win stuff! ;)
I liked this in FB as well as tweeting it! Where I am in my photo journey is amateur avid hobbyist. lol
I have a Nikon DSLR which I love!! I have taken it off manual a few times, both under supervision and once on my own. I really want to learn more about and understand lighting as well as get better at portraits. A good friend of mine, who took pics at my wedding, will be giving away his daughter in one year and I hope to be good enough to cover that wedding for him, so he can relax and enjoy!!
I forgot the separate comment for FB!! Here it is!!
I added my Twitter comment in with another - sorry! Here's my separate one! {grin}
I need those tutorials!
I also started to follow Clickin Moms on Twitter. ;)
Oh, and I have a beautiful DSLR but I still shoot everything on auto. So frustrating!
I have heard positive reviews from my pro-photography friends about the forum! I would classify myself as an amateur family photographer eager to learn more, so Clickin' Moms sounds like a good fit!
I think I would love to get on the forums and read the tutorials. This site looks amazing, I would love to win this

I think the forums and the help/critique sections are pretty neat. I think they would be super helpful. Plus, just getting to be inspired and challenged by other mom's photography is pretty awesome in itself.
The tutorials would be great!! I love taking photographs, but they come up short most of the time, and advice would be helpful.
The workshops and the help/critique features would be sooo great!
As for where I am....I am an amateur with a bigger than a point and shoot, but not a DSLR that I have no idea how to use properly. I click and hope it turns out. :)
I have a point and shoot, but am looking at a DSLR for my next camera. I have noticed that my photographs have really improved since my son was born eight years ago, but they have miles to go before they can be considered anything but ameatuer.
Liked on Facebook!!
Photography Business - I'd love to make it a career someday in the near future.
I have a Canon Rebel XS. I have ventured off of auto and now just shooting with natural light however I still don't use manuel.
as with most above , i need as much help as possible! the online course and tutorials sound awesome. when my mom died nearly a year ago photos have become especially important in my life. we bought a dslr to ensure all moments, candid and "firsts" are documented. i have "fluked" a few special shots but have no idea how! great giveaway.
definately only dabbling with manual and am still to explore. th e old point and shoot is always in my handbag but whoa! does the dslr make a difference!
am "like"ing
Clickin Moms looks like a great place to get wonderful feedback. I am really excited about the forums and sharing...its such a great way to learn!
I use a DSLR, but am still learning...mostly shooting in Auto or P mode. Wanting so badly to be shooting more in manual!

I've definitely outgrown my point and shoot camera...been saving money for a DSLR and am hoping to have enough by Christmas!!
I would love to see the tutorials and ask their advice on camera's.
I love taking pictures and I'd say I'm advanced. I taken weddings and senior pictures. But I would love to improve and need a better camera and not sure what to buy?

The tutorials and product reviews sound amazing! Plus being able to use the forum to ask questions would be a huge help for me.
I have a SLR, sometimes use manual but mostly use the auto.
Very interested in the tutorials. I've got a beautiful babe on my hands!
Just have a point and shoot :( but would love to upgrade! Making the most of even my point and shoot would be great.
I am definitely interested in the tutorials. And looking at all the beautiful babes on the front page :)
I have a DSLR but am mostly just in Auto mode. I'd love to learn how to use all of the bells and whistles! My husband just bought me a new lens too...
the tutorials and the forums :)
back today for more entries :) I have a Nikon DSLR but mostly shooting on automatic. I tinker with the settings but I have alot to learn!!!
i liked this on FB!
love to see what other moms are shooting!
I learned how to shoot in manual this year with my DSLR and would love all the tips I can get!
I upgraded to a new camera and am loving the new possibilities. Still a very new learner but love the learning process. Would love to have a membership to learn more.
What a great resource. I would love to read the tutorials.
I am point and shoot, but aspiring to be a professional someday!
I like this on facebook.
I think I'd be most interested in the tutorials, but I'd also enjoy perusing the galleries. The photos on the front page are stunning.
I currently have a Cannon Powershot and am desperately wanting a dslr.
I like the idea of tutorials and workshops! and the galleries for some inspiration
I have a Canon T1i. I've had a DSLR for about 6 years now. I'm good with the basics and manual functions but am always looking for other pointers or other tricks of the trade.
The tutorials that other members post are priceless! I also would like the opportunity to be inspired from other people's photographic ideas and styles.
The workshops and tutorial sound great, and I love how it can be done from home during nap times! Forums are also a great resource.
Just "liked" it on FB!
I have just started to play around with my dads DSLR, but I am way intimidated by all the options, so I will usually revert to auto or my handy (and easy!) cannon power shot.
I "liked" this on FB
Getting the right photo at the right moment and at the right time -- with kids you have got to capture that moment! :)
"Like" as well on FB
Tutorials! I shoot in full manual most often but it still takes a LOT of experimentation with settings for me to get shots. There is still so much I don't know about my camera (DSLR) that I would love to learn more about.
Clickin' Mom's looks like exactly what I need. Tutorials and forums to help improve my skills or current lack of skills!
I just got a DSLR for my birthday and have taken a few of the courses that came with it, but they were seriously lacking. I think I am just more hands on than they prodived. Until I win this membership I will be shooting in manual :)
I would like to get feedback and critique on my photos. I haven't been taking as many pictures as I used to and I am a little rusty!
I am interested in the tutorials section of their site.
We have been thinking about a DSLR. We are hoping that when we get our adoption tax credit next year we can purchase one and take lots of pictures of our babies.
The tutorials and help/critique sections look terrific!
I have a Canon Rebel but barely know half of what I can do with it. Clickin' Moms is just what I need!
The tutorials look like the best part of the site. Always looking to improve my photography.
I feel as though I am advanced user. The only thing holding me back is my lack of photo shop knowledge and lack of higher quality gear.
I NEED the tutorials! Definitely the thing I would use most.
I am about as amateur as they come but so want to learn and improve. Learning what to do would inspire me to splurge on the gear!

Ohhhh pick me pick me!! I would love to check out the tutorials. Defiinitely think I need that since I'm a visual learner. Hope I win!
Ohhh i would love to talk to other mums that have the same passion about photography that i do so for that the forums would be great, and also the tutorials would be great for gaining skills and ideas. To much to choose from really :)
I'm really interested in the optional workshops. Sounds just the place for a busy pregnant mummy of 2 under 2.5 to learn more about taking gorgeous pics of the gorgeous little ones!
I have an Nikon SLR camera but feel like I'm not getting the most out of it....it's always on Auto or no-flash. I have no Idea about the other settings. For a great camera it really seems such a waste.
I am very interested in the tutorials. Bouncing ideas off of other moms sounds great too!
I currently have a Canon Rebel and would love learn more about lighting and manual. I have been considering taking photography classes for a while now,and this seems like a great way to get more into the art!

I have a Nikon SLR, but have only used the auto feature I would love to dig in but the manuals that came with the camera are a little hard for me to decipher.
I love photography! I would love getting pointers from others to get better pictures. This site would be a wonderful resource!
i shared this on my FB
I went to Clickin Moms and for sure I like the tutorials! That is what I need
I have a nikon slr and I so need help learning how to use it. I now only do the auto setting and I know there is so much more that I can do. I just need to be taught how!
I recently came across this website also! Clickin' Moms looks like exactly what I need right now. I am going to get a trial membership to check it out further, but I know I'm already interested in the Photography Business section. I also love great photography forums where people share their work and give good feedback. It also inspires me to try new shots. I would LOVE to be entered for this giveaway!
I like their tutorials...i think it would help me take better pics of my baby daughter.
For my second entry for the giveaway... I am an inspiring photographer who would love to really do this full-time. Right now I've done some photo shoots of kids and families as a side job, but I'm still trying to improve and get the business started. I think this site would give me great tips and the push I need to just do it!
Thank you for having such a great giveaway!
Tweeted the contest! (photokel)
I clicked LIKE on the Facebook link! Thanks for the additional entry!
Wow! I love that website. I've been trying to figure out how to make my pictures look better, I think this site would be just the thing.

I have a point and shoot camera as well as a Nikon D40x, I'd love to figure out how to take better pictures with the manual features of our larger camera.
myclaybliss@gmail.com
I really want some help in getting better at portraits. I love teenagers and want to do some senior portraits.
I liked this giveaway on FB!
I think what I would love most about a Clickin Moms membership are the tutorials. I would love some step by step stuff that I can use right away to make my photos better!
I am a beginner with an SLR. I really love the quality of the SLR photos, but I want to know how to get the most out of this camera. I've only had it for about 6 months and know a bit about the manual settings, I hope I can go full manual some day!!
Super excited to share info on the forums and do the tutorials!
Thinking of going pro!
I'm looked at their sight several times and love all the things that they offer, I just can't afford a membership at this time.
I've been shooting on Manual with my DSLR, but need some tips. I'm getting better, but it would help if I had some tips from moms who knew what they were doing.
I'm a beginner, but want to learn to photograph my children better.
My favorite part about the site is the workshops and tutorials.
I liked this on FB.
I would LOVE this! I have nothing exciting to say.... except.... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PICK ME!!!!!
BTW... I love photography! I think would use the "Photo Help & Critique" the most!
Thanks for introducing this site to me, AND for this chance to win!:)
A BIG goal for me before baby arrives is to learn my DSLR and get ideas for newborn photos. Love the tutorials/classes and photo inspiration.
I'd love to win this. We recently upgraded our DSLR. I'm in awe of what I *could* do but am also overwhelmed. I want to learn more about Photoshop too-- all before baby arrives in Jan!
On the site, the tutorials sound helpful also the idea of chatting with other moms to get good ideas and tips for taking pictures of my kids.
I just got a new point and shoot. It has some manual control which overwhelms me, but it's nice and compact so I can carry it with me for those on the go shots. Still very amateur here though.
I would love the tutorials, I think they are the best way to learn!!
Danette Gabaldon
I have a point and shoot, but use the auto alot, would love to learn how to try outside the box!!

Checking out the Clickin' moms website, I think I'm most interested in the tutorials and the photo critique area. I'd really love to get some feedback on what I'm doing right and what I could improve upon!
Where am I on photography? Well, I've got a DSLR camera and shoot about 50 photos a week. (most of those all at one time) and hope 2 come out ok. I just am stuck on how to improve. I feel like I keep doing the same (wrong) thing over and over but get lucky every now and then. I'd love to get involved in a community that could help me out!
I have a brother who is a professional photographer and has taken the most beautiful photos of my child. However, he moved out of state a few months ago, when my second daughter was just weeks old. Poor thing; her photos PALE in comparison to her big sister's since the bulk of them have been taken with my little point-and-shoot (which I've yet to manage).
About a month ago, after reading a family update on our blog (complete with my point-and-shoot photos), my brother sent me his old Nikon D70 with the instructions, "Learn to use it." I got the point. Now I just need the lessons.
To say there's just one area of the Web site I'm interested would be a lie. Rather, if I won the membership, I'd devour the whole thing!
BTW, I "liked" on Facebook!
Tutorials would be the most helpful for me.
Currently, I have both a canon digital point and shoot, and my father in law's nikon SLR, but I want to get my own more updated one at some point soon. I tend to leave the SLR on automatic, although I do know some about Fstops and shutter speed. I don't quite have enough savvy to do anything on the fly with that knowledge... yet!
FB liked!
Definitely the tutorials
