GIVEAWAY: SILHOUETTE DIGITAL CUTTING TOOL!!

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS CONCLUDED. A WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCE ON FRIDAY, OCT 1, 2010. THANKS EVERYONE! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!

We are very excited! We have a Silhouette Digital Cutting Machine to give away to one lucky Prudent Baby reader! I've noticed these cutting machines before but never thought they were for me because I'm not a scrapbooker. But when the ladies at How Does She? contacted us on Silhouette's behalf about doing a giveaway and promised a Silhouette for us (well, one of us, thanks Jaime!) and a Silhouette for you (well, one of you) how could we say no?!? If I didn't like it... I could just send it back and never speak of it again. Well, let me tell you, I like it. I like it very much. And I've only just begun!
So far, my projects are simple, using the templates that come with the starter kit, but I'm totally smitten and ready to try more! Maybe even some scrapbooking!

Here is a gift tag that I made with some cardstock!

And here is a little pillow-box that I made with more of my favorite Martha Stewart Craft Paper

And then just to try something new, I did this spoooooky spiderweb window-cling in adhesive vinyl. Clare has already requested an entire Halloween scene in her bedroom windows!

Click here to find out how to enter and for two lovely offers from Silhouette!

The Giveaway includes:

A Silhouette Machine (a $299.99 value)
 Plus...
• Software for Windows XP/Vista, Mac• Power cable, USB cable
• 2 Cutting mats (one for thick media, one for thin media)
• One cutting blade
• $10 gift card to the Silhouette Online Store

To keep this fun and exciting we are going to announce a new way to enter each day until the giveaway ends on September 30th!

It's Thursday and the last day to enter for the chance to win. Just click on a few of our sponsors and/or advertisers sites and report back with something exciting that you find.... A product you can't live without? A hilarious post? A great grocery store coupon? Whatev's, let's just show them some love!

Click on up to 2 links and leave a separate comment for each! Thanks!

The winner must be in the USA and only one winner per household.
International readers, you know we love you!

The fine folks at Silhouette have also come up with two unbelievable package deals for Prudent Baby readers, but you must act fast...

I love the magnetic paper dolls. My 5 year old stepdaughter would get a kick out of them.

She's going to be Rosetta from the new Tinkerbell movies. Store bought polyester costume and all (gag). My 9 month old has no choice (or care) in the matter, so she's going to be a cupcake. I'm knitting her costume, so she'll be nice and toasty when she goes trick-or-treating with her big sis. Hopefully we won't have a freak heatwave cause I've spent too much time on her extra warm costume!

Our Halloween theme this year is Star Wars. Hubs will be Darth Vader, I'll be Padme, 6 yo boy will be Luke, and 3 yo girl will be Leia. Haven't decided on the baby and the dog. Who should be Chewbacca and who should be Yoda? The dog is furry (Chewbacca) but wise and contemplative (Yoda). The baby is small and round (Yoda) but loud (Chewbacca). Any way we cast it, I've got to get sewing, stat.

Oh, also, I like that cupcake box, over there on that Silhouette blog.

But, next comes baby (end of May!), so may be needing this for all sorts of things, like shower invites and announcements!

We get married the weekend before Halloween, so will probably take it somewhat easy. Some carved pumpkins and candy for the kiddies!

Big big happy year!

Thank you for sending me to the Silhouette blog, and curse you, too!! How am I ever going to get anything done knowing there's so much crafty goodness to explore? I barely get anything done around here as it is, since I spend so much on Prudent Baby! I am so in love with the Silhouette. I loved it yesterday, but today I want to marry it! It's alot more useful than my husband (no offense, honey!) My favorite project is the cupcake box. How out of this world crafty is that?! I was always too embarrassed to give a single, lonely looking cupcake to someone, but this idea turns it into a super trendy, expensive looking gift! I want to do this for teacher appreciation day, secretary's day at my husband's office, the church bake sale. And what a great way to send a crumbly cupcake home after a party instead of having the kids grind chocolate cake into MY rug!! I love you, Sil! (That's my new nickname for the Silhouette.)

This year for Halloween, my son is going to be a scary ghoul guy (he's 8) and my daughter is going to be either a fairy princess or the tooth fairy - basically the same costume, just hope I have enough time to sew on some toothbrushes, floss, fake teeth - this is where the Silhouette would really come in handy!

Oh, no! Visiting the Silhouette blog was sooooo dangerous! My favorite project in the first few pages was the paper leaf wreath. I'd love to have that on my front door...or above my mantle...or anywhere in my house right about now!

My 4 year old son is going to be a cowboy for Halloween. I gave him the choice between that or a train conductor (since we already have pieces for both of those on hand). I found a stick horse and plastic guns with holsters and a belt at Goodwill today, so we're pretty much done! As for my 1 year old daughter, I think we'll be going with a ballerina, just because those leotards and tutus are irresistible

I loved the fall wreath over at the silhouette blog. For Halloween my little guy is going to be a sack of bones. Me? Don't know yet.

I just left a comment on their blog that I like the tutorials with the screen shots. Very helpful for newbies...which I really hope I will be very soon! My daughter is going to be a chicken for Halloween, we're working on chicken sounds to go with it.

You're killing me...I am dying to use the Silhoutte to cut out heat transfers for shirts! I commented on their "Fun with the New Heat Transfer Colors." I am so inspired! My 14.5 month old baby girl is going to be a giraffe for Halloween! :)

I visited the Silhouette blog and loved the rhinestones on the notecards! I can't believe you can make iron on rhinestones a Silhouette! Ok, typically I'm not really a rhinestones kind of gal, but on the notecards, it was really cute. Also, my son is going to be a killer rabbit for Halloween! He's 1.

I think your website ate my comment, but if I'm double dippin, just call me trailer trash!

Anyways, Ilove the red fire engine and doggie t-shirt using the print and cut design--so cute for the little man in my life!

Halloween: 3 yo is going as a ladybug, just as soon as I make her a costume, or she's going as a bee, since that costume is already made and still fits. Twins are going as Raggedy Anne & Andy. I know. You could just die from the cuteness!

I just left a comment on the Silhouette blog! What fun! I think that will definitely make hours disappear browsing through the ideas! I commented on the inspire U post with the tan/red fabric flower purse being the inspiration for the cute card! Getting addicted to the blogging world with all this sharing of creative ideas!

OOHH! I love those gift tags! I'd start with those and then move to heat transfers for my living room pillows.

I've never heard of the Silhouette until I came across this blog. Way cool! I consider myself "creatively challenged" but try to create my own stamped cards and tags. I always run out of ideas and have to head over to the craft store only to spend more $$ for supplies. It seems as though this handy dandy machine can pretty much do it all and would cut out a lot of the back and forth visits to the store leaving more time to just create!

oh, I forgot about dressing up for Halloween! I believe we'll make our little munchkin a dog or monkey, so I guess I'll be learning how to sew between now and October 31st!

I love the free download of the week too. Oh and my daughter is going to be a ladybug but I am so tempted to change it to Sue Sylvester. I am a total Gleek.

Oh my, this would be an amazing machine to own. I would decorate my kids' bedrooms as well as my classroom. The temporary tatoos would be loved by my kids and students too. For Halloween I am going to dress up as a book character that my preschoolers love--Curious George.

Love the flocked heat transfer for shirts, etc. What an awesome tool! I would LOVE to get my hands on one of these. Can you imagine what could be created with a 9 month old and 6 year old girls? No more "I'm bored" statements I hope!

Forgot to mention my oldest is going to be a "red queen" and the baby is going to be a lady bug (it was a nickname my grandma gave me when I was little).

The first thing I would do if I won this AMAZING machine is jump up and down screaming. The second thing I would do is make baby name signs for my friend's nurseries as baby gifts. I would then use it to make Christmas gifts for my family and friends. I love the idea of making personal signs out of vinyl. Pick me! Pick me!
