Giveaway: "About A Boy" Pattern and Circa 50 Organic Fabric Set from Fabricworm!

How much do you want to make this adorable bag and hat? We are giving away one "About a Boy" Make it Perfect Pattern by Toni Coward and the fabric to sew the whole set with! This is the cap your boy will always reach for first. With adjustable velcro tags at the back, it won't going flying off his head when a sudden gust of wind blows and will protect him from the heat of the sun. The Satisfying satchel bag is made especially with boys in mind. The patchwork detail on the flap gives a bit of funk without going overboard. LOVE!

But that's not all! We are also including ONE FULL YARD EACH of these three AMAZING new fabrics from Monaluna for Birch Fabrics Circa 50 line to make your new pattern with:

We were lucky enough to see these fabrics in person at Quilt Market and we just fell in love with them! They are all-new, just-launched, hot-off-the-presses, and made with 100% organic cotton. The colors and designs are just so fresh AND boy friendly! You can check out the whole line at Fabricworm.

So to enter this giveaway, let's hear it for the boys!  Tell us something awesome about a boy in your life...your son, your dad, your husband, the pool boy, whoever.  I'll start: My dad loves pastrami sandwiches, egg creams, black & white cookies, and Mallomars.  There's no deep insight here, I just think he has rad taste.  Come back everyday for a new entry. Become a follower, share on facebook, or tweet the giveaway, then leave another comment each time letting us know for an additional entry. Entries will close at midnight June 9th and a winner will be randomly selected. GO LADIES GO LADIES!

SUPER excited to see some boy goodies. As cute as the girly stuff is, I'm a momma to two little fellas...so this is fun!

My youngest just started riding a bike and now when I try to take him off, he'll say "But I'm trying to check out my beautiful world!" in the angriest little voice. So cute! Here's a post about his first ride, if you want to check it out:

My son, Micah, just finished Kindergarten. At graduation he proudly declared he wants to be Iron Man when he grows up so he can fly around and rescue friends. That is pretty much my boy in a nutshell though! He is a dreamer and really doesn't see any reason why he can't grow up to fly. Pretty awesome.

My grandson, Micah, loves to garden with me. From the time he could walk, he was out in the garden, learning names of the vegetables and flowers, planting seeds, watering, pulling weeds. We have a favorite bench where we just sit and watch the hummingbirds. He believes I have a special hummingbird friend who comes to visit me every year. It is our special time and I love every second of the time we spend together.

I have a dad, brother, husband, and 2 sons. But today I'll talk about son #1. It's been a rough toddler-hood, but the other day he calmly told his teacher a child took his toy, and he calmly asked for the toy back. And THAT is progress and frankly, pretty darn cool.

He slept in them and the next day when it was time to get dressed he insisted on wearing them again. When I had to leave a few days later he ran and put the shorts on right out of the laundry basket, he told daddy "I feel mommy's love when I wear the shorts she made me" I cried. :)

My hubby is the best 'cause he lets me stay home with the kids and supports my craft addiction, and loves his retro cartoons on Saturday. My dad has always been the best any girl could ask for, he's funny and he works hard even when he should be relaxing. He taught me to be 'me' and now that i am 1500 kms away I love him even more. And he is the best Grampie to my kiddies ever...I am sure as they get older he will let them get away with anything. These are the men in my life I will celebrate on Father's Day this year!

My hubby is the sole boy in a house of girls. For now, I'm the only one over 3 feet tall.... but I often wonder what will happen when our little girls become teenagers.... My guy and I will both want to run away! :) He calls us all "My girls" and is the best father ever. Right now he's out of the country on a business trip and we're missing him. (That will explain my super long comment!) Anyway, I've made stuff for my girls, my mom, my girlfriends, and myself. It's time to sew for the #1 guy in my life. If I win, I'll use this to make a CD holder for his truck. He's asked for one, but all I have is flowery fabric in my stash. That won't do at all.

My husband is amazing at encouraging me - he compliments me or tells me I look beautiful or in some way makes me feel loved and valued every day. I'm very lucky to have him in my life.
