You want this book! You know you do! One-Yard Wonders: 101 Sewing Fabric Projects; Look How Much You Can Make with Just One Yard of Fabric!is an amazing addition to your crafty library. Whenever you get that urge to create, just whip it out and get to crafting! Also, what a great excuse to just go ahead and buy a yard of any cute fabric you find - no need to have a specific project in mind, you know you will find one in the book!
For extra entries, go ahead and twitter the giveaway, share it on Facebook, or post it on your blog, then leave another comment here letting us know!
We will close the entries at midnight on Monday, January 18th and select a winner (must be a US resident) via Random.org. I hope it's you!! But if not, make sure to pick up a copy of this fantastic book here!

My New Year's resolution is to make a SIZEABLE dent in my completed quilt top pile! I love the patchwork part, hate the quilting part--I even love sewing down binding! Just getting from the top to the binding...
I am absolutely determined to teach myself to machine sew so I can make doll clothes. I can do it!!! :)
I hope you have had a very Happy Birthday!
Um, today is your birthday? Guess I should visit facebook more often. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Is it really today? The 11th? Doesn't sound right. Are you certain?
I think that I might need a copy of this book.
I want to finally make a lovely wearable garment for myself and not just the kiddos.Happy Birthday, may all your crafty dreams come true!!!
Happy Birthday! This year I want to make a really cool heirloom-quality birthday banner and advent calendar for our family and my brother's family. Yahoo!
besquirrely.wordpress.com
Happy Birthday! My craft goal this year is to try to sew my first article of clothing. I sew everything else but for some reason clothes scare me.
Happy Birthday! My Resolution is to finally try out making crib sheets by hand. I'm terrified of elastic!
I would love this! I need a jump start for craft projects in 2010!
My resolution is to convert the stack of old clothes in my closet that I never wear into cute kids clothes using the new sewing machine i got for christmas. And happy birthday, i love the blog!
i learned to crochet at the end of 09, and i've resolved to crochet a granny square blanket (or several).
Happy birthday! Just found your blog and it's great. My resolution is to use up my yarn stock or give it away to people who will. :)
I already checked off my big creative goal for this year! I hand quilted my daughter's twin size quilt for when she moves into a "big girl" bed later on this year. My next goal is a racetrack quilt for my baby boy.
I've resolved to finish a granny square blanket I've started, make a quilt for my baby-to-be, and make curtains for two rooms in need.
Thanks for the giveaway & happy birthday!
Just tweeted about your giveaway! (@kiki_williamson). Thanks!
I really want to organize my craft space so it is more efficient and more conducive to crafting. It's a small corner and I just haven't gotten around to figuring out what I want. Also, I want to finish my quilt that I had guests sign the top of instead of a guest book. It's my first ever quilt and I've finished the top.
Happy Birthday!
My resolution is to sew something for me and something for my daughter to wear (but not matchy matchy-- just something I actually made...)
My new years resolution is to knit myself something for once!
Happy Birthday! Most of my resolutions are sewing related. At the top of my list: I want to make each of my kids a quilt this year.
My crafty new years resolution is to take at least one quilting class and learn to crochet without my mother's assistance.
I'm a newbie to the sewing world (taking my first class next month!), so I resolve to learn to sew, then develop my skills in an intermediate class. :)
Happy Birthday!
I'm having a baby girl in a couple of months and I am excited to sew some cute dresses for her. I also want to get up the courage to actually make a *real* quilt!
my resolution is to paint and stain furniture and decorate our house- is that crafty enough?? oh, and also to win this book so i can sew lots of cute things!!
I just had a baby girl and want to sew her several skirts/dresses. My main goal though is to organize my craft stuff so I don't have to make a bigger mess just to find a tiny item!
One of my scrappy goals for the year is to complete Project 365.
That looks like a super amazing and fun book! I'd LOVE to win it!
My new year's resolution as far as crafting goes is to simply finish projects I start...well to also finish projects I've already started. The ones I have left to complete should take up all of 2010 as is. :-)
I would LOVE to win this book. One of my big new years resolutions is the sew a dress for myself each month. I love the idea of dressing like a 50s housewife from time to time!
im gonna organize my out of control messy craft room!
I tweeted about the giveaway!
I posted on Facebook about the giveaway!
I also posted the giveaway on my facebook:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/profile.php?ref=name&id=64203205
Organize my craft area would be a top goal, use up some of my stash would be the second.
Does cooking count as a crafty resolution? If so, then I resolve to finally cook a decent tasting pizza with a from-stratch crust. For sewing, I resolve to sew pants for my baby. Her legs are getting so long now.
Oh my, I may never learn how to sew in a straight line! Its part of my charm! ;-)
My new years crafty resolution is two parts:
1. To take the time to craft/sew! I started a new job as a teacher, and i am crazy busy! I have lost track of my as a crafter, and I want to get back on my machine. Plus, talk about a stress relief when I can CREATE!
2. To use all the fabric I own instead of seeking out new ones. I have fabulous fabrics! I need to start using them!!!
This year I'd like to buy fewer gifts from stores, and instead give items that I've made myself. And not just because it's a great excuse to get more craft supplies...
Happy Birthday!
I want to learn how to crochet a circle....because someday I plan to make an awesome pillow!
This year I want to start sewing with knits. I've always been too afraid. Hopefully this is the year!
My resolution is to bake something from scratch once a week this year. So far, so good & yummy.
I resolve to make my kids a playhouse tent. And since it needs to be done by Christmas I better get started.
I've resolved to actually use the sewing machine my mom handed down to me. I've made a few things and really enjoyed it. I really want to find a class so I can become confident about sewing. I would like to be able to make things for my home and my kids, especially with a new one on the way. My daughter also inherited my short legs, so it would be handy to know how to hem pants.
I plan to actually dedicate and organize half of my office to be the craft zone.
Well my resolution is to use the new sewing machine I bought myself as a Christmas/Bday present! I have a few small, fun projects lined up to get me warmed up. - librarianjle(at)gmail
I'd love that book... especially since I resolve to learn to sew a bit more. I WILL use that pillowcase kit my MIL put together for me and make it not-too-wonky :)
I'm learning to SEW! I'm so excited and have already made two things- a pillow slipcover and baby blanket. I would love this book! Perfect for my new adventure!
Great book! One of my goals is to make more of the decor and furniture items for my home instead of always buying them. It's so much more meaningful, creative, original and cost effective! Thanks for the giveaway! Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!!! I have two goals. The first is to get my craft supplies organized. The second is to complete one project before starting another!
really finishing any project I start would be wonderful. But more specifically I would like to make some baby bibs for a friend!

Happy Birthday! My goal is to sew some robes for my little nieces. The pattern is sitting on my table...gathering dust...I need to get to it already!
I have GOT to finish my twins' baby quilts this year...as they just turned TWO and won't be able to use them if I don't get to stitching! Gah! Btw, happiest of birthdays! Thanks for the chance.

My new years "goal" is to get my website that my parents bought me up and running. Its gonna be all handmade stuff. I want to do mostly custom orders, but im going to make gift sets as well....cant give out too much info on it yet. :)
One of my New Years goals is to sew something every month. I even purchased some beautiful material to get inspired. This book is on my wish list and I'd love to use it for some of my new fabric :)
I'd love to do anything crafty! I follow all these craft blogs but my attempts are pretty pitiful. Nonetheless, I have asked my husband for a sewing machine for my upcoming birthday because I'm dying to attempt some of the sewing projects I've seen. I'm sure this book would be great inspiration and encouragement to keep at it!
My list is long! The most important is to finish the quilts I started for the hospital where my baby had open heart surgery.
Then, making maternity dresses (in hopes of a pregnancy), more tea cozies (I just made a cutie for myself and am hooked), and of course toddler clothes for my son- mostly bowling shirts-sooo cute!
I have two major ones.. make lotsa stuff with stash fabric (instead of buying new stuff) & make stuff for myself & my sons 'cause I'm always making stuff for other people. :)
I have a sewing machine, but never use it. I WILL LEARN HOW TO SEW THIS YEAR! Maybe this book will be the inspiration I need? ;)
Use my sewing machine at least once a month. I have so many projects piling up....
To finish the scruffily quilt I started this past year and organize all my fabric.
To finish every project I start!!!
This year I resolve to using up all the fabric I have before buying more. AND getting my craft blog up and running! Posted this on my FB too :)
My crafty resolution is to learn to sew AT ALL. Straight lines will come.. I hope!!
One of my resolutions is to learn how to use every last scrap I have!
My goal this year is to set up a 'sewing center' and have everything organized and in one place! Happy Birthday! Thanx for the great giveaway! I'm linking too!
This year I need to organize or get rid of all my scrapbooking stuff!
rach62803@yahoo.com
i've been eyeing this book for awhile, and i would love a copy!
one of my goals for this year is to get my sewing room completely organized *and* i would like to recreate my favorite bag (which is currently falling apart) in new fabric.
thanks for the giveaway!
After sewing a quilt for my oldest daughter's bed, I vowed to make one for each of my girls. I am currently "stuck" on 2 out of 5 but resolve this will be my year for unfinished projects!!
One of my resolutions is not buy but use up what I have. I have tons of fabric, this book would help with this.
That looks awesome!
One of my sewing resolutions is to spend more time working on projects. I LOVE to sew and I want to take lessons from a lady at work and get a lot better at sewing.
Then, I plan to make more of the gifts I give instead of buying them.
My crafting resolutions are many but mainly just to do more sewing, for myself, others, etc. Plus I want to learn more about dressmaking.
I shared this on Facebook.
PS. Love the blog!!!
Happy birthday! My resolution is to make time for something crafty every week. I am hoping to make a lot of my baby's things this year. I am due w/in the month with our 2nd baby- a boy, so being able to use 1 yard would be FABULOUS!!!
I really want to learn how to embroider this year!
Shared on FB :)
Make home a priority!
My goal is to make some baby stuff for the boy I'm expecting in May!
I just RTed your giveaway on Twitter, also.
I want to make the art smock from your previous post... and about a million other crafts : )
My goal this year is to attempt to make some clothing, probably pajamas, for both of my boys. And also, maybe try my hand at a quilt?
I have been dieing to get this book sense it came out! I even blogged about it! My new years resolution is to make as many things on my "Things I want to make" list as humanly possible. It's endless and I'm excited for them all!
Happy Birthday!! Love ur blog[s] My new years resolution which is a mile long! lol I want to make my daughter a kitchen from a nightstand. She is becoming a little helper, little mommy, and wants to do everything like me its cute.
This book looks awesome. When I see a fabric I love I always buy one yard even if I do not have a project going! As you can imagine, I have quite a stash of one yard prints! My crafty resolution is to use the items I have been gathering for several years to use "one day". Those typewriter keys? nana's clip on earrings? vintage butterfly stamps?
Happiest of birthdays wished for you!
My promise I made to myself this year, is to spend time everyday for myself doing something creative.
I am hoping this will inspire me and keep my creative juices flowing, along with making me feel happy!
I resolve to learn how to use the serger I bought last year.
rsgrandinetti@yahoo(dot)com
I just saw this book online last night and actually made my husband get out his ipod and make a new list of gifts he should get me, with this at the top! ;)
My crafty resolve is to make a piece of clothing for each of my kids this year. I know that doesn't seem like much, but for me, it is! And I'm already successful, since I made a shoe for my baby tonight! Yep, just one. :)
Happy Birthday! One of my resolutions for crafting this year to learn to use my sewing machine. I've been sewing and otherwise crafting for probably 15 years, but I'm still intimidated by a sewing machine. I also hope to (actually and truly) make all or most of my birthday and christmas gifts this year.
Oh the crafty list I have for 2010. First and foremost is to finish my daughter's super hero cape. I've had the fabric for way too long. It is a surprise so I better finish it before she no longer wants to play super hero.
My craft resolution for 2010 was to take more time to craft! This is something that always ends up getting pushed to the back burner.
I just shared the link on fb too!
I resolve to get past simply hemming and mending... and to actually MAKE something.
Happy Bday!!! My craft ambition this year is to make things to sell at a fundraiser we're throwing to help my sister-in-law adopt an orphan from Uganda and if it's a success make some money to send back to the family that has been taking care of Fiona since her mother died a few years ago.
I would love this book as it would help my resolution of making a few sweet toys for my babies! Thanks.
I'm planning on destashing my supply of vintage fabrics on a new Etsy shop -- now I just have to zero in on the perfect shop name! (Why is that so hard...?) I also really want to finally make that quilt for my bedroom.
Thanks for the chance to enter this giveaway! I'm really hoping to get this book for my birthday!
Oh gosh -- I'd LOVE to win this. I've been pining after it for a while.
I actually just added it to my Amazon wishlist today <3
My craft new years resolution was to learn to sew -- and sew far, sew good (har har!)
Check out my blog for some of my newest creations -- the boy bought me a sewing machine for xmas & I'm in love. (With him AND the Singer!)
Sure we want the book! It looks gorgeous!
My resolution is to start my very first quilt.
I want to learn to sew by hand. That is one of my crafting resolutions. The other is to keep my mess in order.
yahoobuckaroo@Hotmail.com
What a fantastic book! There seems to be plenty of drool-worthy projects in there! I'm a brand new quilter (just completed my first quilt @ the beginning of December) & I have a very gracious MIL who let me raid her fabric stash. My goal this year is to make 10 quilts. Most will probably be baby quilts since I want to make one for my toddler son & I also have a few friends expecting. So far, so good... I've got one quilt top completed already! (a Christmas lap-size quilt)
With my third baby almost here and first girl, I want to learn to sew baby clothes. I have little dresses (simple ones) in mind! I also need to finish those dang aprons I bought patterns for over a year ago. One more thing is to start early and make Christmas ornaments to give as gifts for next Christmas. So many things I want to sew!! :)
My goal is to make my first quilt - start to finish - this year!
I'm so sad. I'm not from the US, but the book looks really great. Congrats to the winner ;)
Have a nice day. I love your blog, it's very inspirering.
ONE of my crafty New Years' goals is to embrace the "multi-project" mentality. Rather than beat myself up about having 2, or 5, or 10 projects simultaneously "in the works," I want to accept it, and use it. When my eyes and back are tired from sitting at the sewing machine, I can curl up on the couch and pick up some simple knitting. That way, more projects will be done in the end!!!!!
p.s. I am SUPER excited about this give away. This book was on my wish list for Christmas, but I didn't get it.
My crafty resolution is simply to do just that - CRAFT! I've had a long to do list for ages and have never made the time, so this year I have resolved to get stuff done for a change as it's so much more rewarding to DIY than BUY!
Oh ho, it's so hard to narrow it down to just ONE! So I'll just say, learn to knit cables. I love me some cables.
Wow. Look at the responses! My resolution is to actually get my sewing machine out of storage and use it. First I should get cracking on my Valentine's Day cards, I guess.
I have 3 crafts for my Daughter that I've started, but haven't finished. 1. Pennant Banner. 2. Coco's Bobble Dress from Purl Bee. and 3. A CrisCross Tunic I got from Etsy. Goal is to have these finished before March. Wont start a new one till I finish at least two of these.
I'm going to make Christmas gifts during the year so I'll be ready in December.
about to become a mommy and my father in law just gifted me an old sewing machine. I resolve to create some nursery magic for our little man to be because can't find any super cool nursery sets that aren't "Uber-Baby".
To learn to sew well...or at least passably! I'd also love to figure out how to make some of those fancy crib bumpers (that look like fabric-covered pool noodles?) for my one-on-the-way
Retweeted! Just love this blog! :)
My goal for 2010 is to tune up the lovely vintage kenmore sewing machin that I was so generously gifted and re-teach myelf by making one new thing each week.
I got a sewing machine for Christmas! Much thanks to the crafters' wishlists!
So my resolution is to learn to sew and to sew SOMETHING that I can use-whether a dress, apron, pillow-I don't know yet. But I search Prudent Baby all the time for easy sewing projects!
Would love this book for my new hobby!
My new year's resolution is to make more from-scratch meals for my husband...now that i am not pregnant for the first time in two years, i'd like to get back to cooking...although with a newborn on my hip and a toddler at my heels, getting anything on the table will be an accomplishment. i would also like to keep my sewing nook and fabric stash continually organized.
I have many crafty New Years Resolutions (and in fact dedicated an entire section to them) but one is to finally create a headboard for our master bedroom. I made our previous one but we upgraded from a queen to a king so it's time for me to get on it!
I want to make adorable birthday outfits for my twin girls - by March 23rd! yikes - gotta get started soon, when I only have a couple of hours a week to work on it. :)
My resolutions is to get my sewing room cleaned up and start a few projects for my future online boutique :-) Wish me luck!
My resolution is to complete a knitted and sewn item for each month. And to finish some WIP.
I just found your website a few days ago - love it! My resolution is to market my new etsy shop...www.sweetmylissa.com. One of the ways we are trying to fluff up our income in 2010! Happy Birthday to you...
My resolution is to sew more in 2010 and not let my machine collect dust!!!
Oh! I would LOVE this book ;) but I'm afraid I would have to wait before I made anything from it.
:) My New Year's Resolution is to finish all the UFO [unfinished objects] in my craft room...
I retweeted you! @hfhmylissa
Have a great day!!
My resolution is to sew DD as many outfits as humanly possible! I'm tired of buying things I can make ... easily!
sassysouthernbaby@Hotmail.com
Oh so many projects that I would love to finish, but the two on top of my list is to make a superhero cape for my son's little girlfriend, and to make some dishtowels since I can't ever find any that I like :)
Cool! I have two projects: drawing a negative flower drawing for my bathroom, and painting some artwork for my soon-to-be baby's nursery.
I resolve to get my craft space organized! After a 3 month remodel involving all of my stuff being everywhere, it's now in a central location - and I need to get it under control!
Happy Birthday!! my resolution is to organize ALL my craft books on newly built bookshelves...cant wait to have them in one spot!
My crafty resolution for the year is pretty simple: learn to sew. I just got a machine of my own last year so now I need to really focus on learning how to use it to make cute clothes/curtains/blankets for my soon-to-be-born son! Also, I'd love to learn how to crochet.
My crafty resolution is to actually DO some of the million ideas in my head... One a month maybe?
My wife is just starting out, this would be a wonderful start
Oh boy. One crafty resolution. I guess it would be to finish the roman blind for the boys' bedroom.
I'm teaching myself to sew. My amazing husband surprised me at Christmas with my very first sewing machine.I had been borrowing a really old machine from my mother-in-law. My goal this year is to make my son a quilt from his baby clothes and to give it to him on his second birthday in July.
Oooh! What a great giveaway. I'm trying to improve my sewing skills as well as brushing up on my crochet abilities. I have to wait for my son in the car every afternoon so I'll be able to get in lots of crochet practice and I'm going to set aside 2 nights a week for sewing (with 4 small children I don't get much crafting done during the day!).
My crafty resolution is to get some new shelves and organize all of my fabrics--folded and stacked by color, and my sewing supplies in pretty boxes. I want to see my crafty space and feel SO inspired by how lovely and organized it is that I can't help but feel energized and able to create more lovely things!
Happy Birthday!!! My goal this year is to become better at knitting/crocheting so I can make things other than scarves.
Happy birthday to you! The book looks awesome! I have several crafty projects in mind for the year. One is to finish a baby quilt for a friend, next up catch up on my UFOs, and also make about a gazillion baby/birthday presents!
I am determined to stop being scared of my wonderful sewing machine...I think this book could help!
Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!
Nicki

PS - Happy Bday!
Like many others, I resolve to learn to sew this year! I am a stay-at-home Mom, and my husband has jokingly said he would fire me if I didn't learn this skill! (For shame, what stay-at-home mom doesn't know how to sew!). Anyway, the sweet man bought me my very first sewing machine for Christmas!
becgoodpaster@gmail.com
I resolved to make 6 quilts this year. And give at least 3 away.
I'm going to go through all of my old crft bits that didn't make the cut and donate or give them away, and then, I am going to devote more time to my favorite craft: SEWING!
I can't wait.
I can't wait to get my little paws on this book!
I am going to take a beginning woodworking class, so I can make furniture for my home...and with furniture comes the need for sewing pillows, duvet covers, etc. etc.! This book looks like a jewel! Happy birthday, and thanks for the great blogging!!
this entry is for Tammy
This is my first time to visit your website, and it's AWESOME! I haven't sewn in quite some time, and when I did sew...way back when....I wasn't great it. The last few months, I've been stocking up on some material. Now I'm trying to psyche myself up to give it a go again. I'd really LOVE this book. I'm sure it would be great for someone with my sewing skills....or lack thereof =) Thank you for the opportunity. tkcharlesworth@aol.com
