Giveaway: ONE-YARD WONDERS!!!

In celebration of my birthday I am giving one of our readers a gift, and all I ask in return is a picture of whatever you make!

You want this book!  You know you do!  One-Yard Wonders: 101 Sewing Fabric Projects; Look How Much You Can Make with Just One Yard of Fabric!is an amazing addition to your crafty library. Whenever you get that urge to create, just whip it out and get to crafting! Also, what a great excuse to just go ahead and buy a yard of any cute fabric you find - no need to have a specific project in mind, you know you will find one in the book!

To enter this giveaway, simply leave a comment telling us ONE of your crafty new year's resolutions. Do you resolve to learn to sew a straight line? Or perhaps to finally complete that quilt that's been taunting you? Or maybe it's to bake a cake shaped like a beehive? We're not judging, we're just curious. One of my new year's resolutions is to get my fabrics organized in a crafty way and share it here, and another is to get you all to subscribe to Prudent Advice and read my book. Good thing I have a whole year to get on it!

For extra entries, go ahead and twitter the giveaway, share it on Facebook, or post it on your blog, then leave another comment here letting us know!

We will close the entries at midnight on Monday, January 18th and select a winner (must be a US resident) via Random.org. I hope it's you!! But if not, make sure to pick up a copy of this fantastic book here!
XOXO and Good Luck!
Jaime & Jacinda

to lose baby weight (boring), improvise scales into my piano playing, read through the Bible with my husband and hand paint rovings to give to my spinning friends.

My NY Resolution is to use what I have...both in my craft room and in my life in general. Use the stuff I have, the strengths I have, and most importantly, the tools I have, to improve the daily lives of the people I love.

My new year resolution is to finally learn how to sew on my sewing machine. I received it last Christmas and attempted it once. What a waste I know-but not this year. This book would really give me some inspiration-perfect!

Happy Birthday!

My grandmother left several quilt squares and pieces that she had worked on before she died 10 years ago. I've been holding onto those pieces, and my goal for this year is to finally finish one of the quilts that she had begun, and find other ways to use some of the other pieces that she started.

oh...i JUST saw this book the other day..... i NEED it!

resolution = to stress less and live in the moment more. cliche' maybe. but no less important. i am way too worked up most of the time and it's rubbing off on my kiddos.

i have recently started sewing...yay! picked up from my very talented mother. so also, would like to enter some of my goodies in local fairs, festivals or Etsy, when i feel they are worthy :)

Happy Birthday and thanks for the opportunity! One (!!) of my resolutions is to make more time for me! Sounds selfish, but when you're a mom you need to regroup and recharge!

ohhh, i sooo want this book.
Well, my new years resolution as a whole was to make Project K pan out...I have a craft/food/travel blog at www.projectk.ca
But more specifically, I want to find a better way to store my threads (colour co ordinated of course!) I've read a couple tutorials on the net, but still nothing for me, just yet...hope I win! I have so many scraps left from my nursing scrubs.
Thanks, love your blog!
