GIVEAWAY: Made to Play! Handmade Toys & Crafts for Growing Imaginations

If you are looking for a new great craft book that pushes your kids to use their active imaginations Made to Play is just that. Created by father, Joel Henriques, Made to Play encourages kids to use their imaginations to turn a seemingly simple toy into hours of fun.

Joel fills the pages with exciting crafts that combine sewing, drawing and light woodwork. You could create a old-time jazz band with your fabric instruments.

Entertain the family with a shadow puppet play.

Or even create beautiful scenes just using a pen and vintage buttons.

Along with pages of crafts, Joel has also provided you with templates and instructions on how to make each of his little creations.

Keep reading to get more inside peaks into Made to Play and to find out how to enter for the chance to win a copy of your own.

You and your kids can cut out different shapes to add to their modular headband and see what creative ideas they come up with. Within seconds Joel's son had created "rhino-dog."

Use your light woodworking skills to cut out small animals and place them in a special zoo-mobile so you can take them wherever you go.

To enter for the chance to win a copy of Made to Play visit Joel's blog, Made by Joel and then leave a comment here telling us which craft you are just itching to make. The Sun Ray toy is so cute! For additional entries, tweet, stumble, or share the giveaway on facebook and leave a comment each time letting us know. Come back and leave a comment every day from now until November 23rd at midnight. We will announce the winner here on Prudent Baby.

I am in love with the zoo blanket! I remember doing that with my little sister- we were in California visiting my Granny and she had gotten us a big bucket of play animals and we spent all day arranging them in a pretend zoo on the floor and stairs. Even if I don't win this book- I am definitely buying it and making that blanket!!
