Walking. It's the best way to stay healthy without killing yourself. I walk every morning with my dogs, they get exercise, I get my exercise it's a win win all around.
Washing your hands - - everybody can do it!
I like to make sure my son washes his hands - especially after we've been out anywhere, since he loves to touch everything!
Hand washing as soon as we come home from school, the store, etc. and always before we eat!
We all get flu shots, every year. Even 2 years ago when it was tough to find, I was pregnant and determined - stood in line for 3 hours with my not yet 2 year old. Good times. Haven't had the flu since making it an annual habit. (Note: we prefer the shot to the mist - the shot is dead so you can not get sick from it, the mist is "live attenuated" so you can get a few minor symptoms - I'd rather skip it altogether!)
For us it's not going to crazy with the hand sanitizer because a little natural immunity is a good thing that hand sanitizer can kill, and if you start to feel a little something in your throat, gargle with listerine a couple of times a day - 9 times out of 10 that will kill anything before it starts.
We eat so many apples around here! Love our apples! Spending time outside every day...it works wonders for the body and soul. I'm all about the hand washing as well.
Mix honey, lemon and hot water and enjoy. Honey has all kinds of beneificial properties as does lemon juice. It makes a nice healthful drink.
i have just started to hold back on the hand sanitizer, overkill can't be that good! also vitamins daily is how i stay healthy! could always use more healthy!! :)
Vitamin D.... everyone needs some sunlight!
Getting plenty of sleep. I really think it helps. :)
Exercise and Vitamins!

I wash my hands like crazy, lysol everything in the house, and use my neti pot!
we wash our hands the moment we come through the door.
flu shots, vitamins, and eating healthy. Lots of vegetables and fruits.
i Keep hand sanitizer everywhere, antibacterial Kleenex and i swear by putting Vaseline in my nose when im around a lot of people.
Going to bed early and getting plenty of rest!
We wash hands a lot in our house and we also walk to and from school everyday to get in some exercise without even thinking about it.
I'm very careful with our schedule. I make sure our commitments are realistic and that we have enough rest and downtime so that our physical and emotional well being doesn't suffer.
Hand washing and avoid shaking hands with everyone. My family calls me a germaphobe, but I don't like to shake hands! (Think Howie Mandel.) As soon as I come in from being out in public, I wash my hands. A nurse in ICU told me that hand sanitizer isn't effective at killing every germ and that soap and water is best.
I usually get sick when I am most worn out. So, for me, one of the best ways to fight sickness is to go to bed and get adequate rest!
I have six children and keeping us all healthy is a huge task! I make sure they properly wash their hands, get healthy meals, and plenty of rest with a fixed bedtime of 9 PM. When they happen to get sick, Vitamin C, primadophilus and TLC gets them back to smiling quickly!
I walk everywhere. To the grocer, to the dentist, to the restaurant and on top of it I take my dog on long walks. This is a perk of city living. Great giveaway.

Get lots of sleep!
eating vegetables and spicy foods! I swear it kicks a cold right out of you.
Washing hands often and using disenfectant wipes all around the house.
I am with the washing hands crowd - we touch our faces a lot without knowing it. And of course drinking a lot of water.
walking, walking, walking and lots of water! Briana.m.murphy@gmail.com
Mine is drinking lots of water and getting plenty of rest!

getting lots of rest and exercising often!
washing hands
With a 2 and 4 year old it seems the winter is spent with the sniffles. We just try to get our rest and stay warm.
Definitely a good night's sleep and staying hydrated!
Water and Yoga :)
I'm with Mandy. Water and exercise are HUGE. If I was to add anything it would be to eat less red meat and to really watch your processed foods. Those four things will change your life!
I've started making green smoothies in the morning. It produces fantastic energy for the morning and we get a full serving of fruit and veggies right out of bed! Its cheaper too, figured out this mornings... 2 big smoothies for under $4!
Orange Juice!
We walk every evening (well, ALMOST every evening), I do yoga, and I take vitamins and try to avoid junk food.
Washing hands, rest, and exercise in the fresh air!!
Ha! Considering that I'm sick as a dog right now, apparently I have no advice. But could totally use this package to help preventing getting sick in the future.
I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to stay hydrated.

I meal plan so I can provide healthy meals for my family.
Sleep enough! It's so important.
I think sleep is so important, but also making sure to keep your stress level down is so important too! We put so much on our plates these days and we can only do so much. Stress is so unhealthy so taking time to breathe and realize you CAN'T do it all really helps you keep a healthy body and clear (read: sane) mind!
My best advice is to not ignore the symptoms. That tickle in your throat or the sniffle in the morning -- you know it's coming! There is a lot you can do at the onset of the first little symptoms to help keep you from being sick as a dog a few days later. Start sleeping more, drink lots of fluids, and try some of the early onset treatments.
As a teacher, I had a VAT of hand sanitizer. If any of my kids hacked, coughed, sneezed or wheezed, I made them use it. That paired with Lysol wipes helped keep me flu-bug free last fall.
Water and Sleep!
I try and cook our meals from scratch as much as I can (ie no condensed soups, Velveeta and the like). We drink alot of water in our house and I try to make sure we have balanced diets!
My tip is sleep. When I start to feel bad I don't only the basics and get to bed early. That seems to help more than anything.
My best tip is good handwashing, lots of sleep, and avoiding sick people/kids.
We take Colloidal Silver. My husband and I take it orally when we feel something coming on, and we put drops in our 15 month old's ears when she is showing signs of an ear infection. There is also a nasal spray for sinus infections. Works everytime. :)
I tweeted it. http://twitter.com/#!/melooza1/status/121261274628759552
I can't believe it's that time of year either! One thing I do among several to try and stay healthy is exercise 5-6 days a week. Keeps the bod healthy and especially the mind. When the mind is feeling good, you have greater chances of maintaining your health!
I make everyone drink lots of water and as soon as anyone shows any signs of illness, they start going to bed early for a few days. We all stay healthy by eating well on most days :)
Hydrating & sleeping. I find that if I get lots of water and enough rest, I feel great.
Lots of fluids, hand-washing, and rest!
my mom says a spoonful of olive oil, 8oz of water with 1Tbsp apple cider vinegar and plenty of rest HELPS YOU STAY HEALTHY EVERYDAY.
Drinking lots of water, eating "clean"!
I like to believe that drinking lots and lots of tea keeps me healthy. :D
This is more of a tip for after you do get sick: Puffs plus lotion! I love those tissues. If your nose gets raw it can last longer than the cold and these babies keep that from happening!
when feel the sickness starting to close in, I go to the store for some extra vitamin c (usuall OJ) and make sure to load up on hot teas too. :)
My husband has the best stay healthy trick. Whenever anyone in the house starts getting sick he drinks lots of OJ in the morning and lots of beer in the evening. He is convinced that the alcohol kills the germs and the OJ boosts his immune system. I always laugh but it usually works for him. :D
So many things to do to keep healthy. One is to wash hands and make sure that everyone else in the house is washing their hands, too, because they can end up spreading germs to things even if most people washed their hands already. :)
Drinking water.
an apple a day....and lots of sleep, water, and vitamins too!
Proper handwashing and antibacterial gel!
Drinking lots of water and vitamin C!!
Drink lots of water and wash your hands frequently!
I drink lots of water and clean with Norwex antibac clothes regularly!
I like to believe that I stay healthy by being exposed to germs throughout the year. Living in a city and taking public transportation allows my immune system to be tough from all the stuff I'm exposed to daily. That and drinking a ton of water!
Getting enough sleep and drinking plenty of water all year, and washing hands (with non-anti-bacterial soap) more often during cold and flu season!
Sleep Sleep and more sleep!
These are all excellent tips for staying healthy! One tip that I learned a long time ago and still adhere to is to keep your toothbrush germ-free to prevent reinfecting yourself if you are coming down with a cold or the flu, etc. (Keep your toothbrush well away from flushing toilets and airborne germs, microwave/sanitize after each use, and throw away the old one and buy a new one if you've been sick.) Hope this helps and thanks for an awesome giveaway!
Eating healthier! Since I eliminated many processed foods and been paying attention to what goes in my body, I get sick a lot less.
Mine is to write down everything I eat. If I keep a food diary I know when I'm eating too much junk and not enough actual nutrients so if I start to feel sick, I can see that it's probably because I've not been injesting the required amount of Vitamin C or Zinc or anything else.
Wash youre hands is the best thing I know of to help not get sick.

We get exercise everyday to keep our family healthy.
water, exercise and wahs hands

Don't fear dirt!! Relax! And my Dad swears by garlic, and he's never sick.
Drink a whole lot of water, and don't eat/drink sugary stuff.
Um...I'm totally not healthy! I guess my healthy bit would be that I quit drinking sodas. I suppose I'm healthier because of it. :)
I hate to be boring but...wash your hands! I am amazed at how many moms and kids walk out of the public restroom without washing their hands!?
Drink a ton of water. An ounce for every inch you are tall!!
SLEEP!! I know so many people who go without enough sleep on a regular basis. I always prioritize being well-rested! Plus, I just love to sleep. :)
Eat lots of fruits and veggies and get plenty of sleep.

LOL, this is ironic, I left work today feeling sick. My hubs swears by orange juice. Normally we get as much sleep as possible, and I think my problem lately has been not exercising.

I meditate, and it reminds me to be mindful about my nutrition and exersize.
Washing your hands for at least 20 seconds. It is worth the extra time!
I think the best way to stay healthy is to drink lots of water and get regular exercise....as well as plenty of sleep :)
Drink lots of water! At the first sign of a cold we take zinc, vitamin C, and even more water :0)
My best stay healthy advice is to take your daily mulit-vitamin. When I was in college (for early childhood eductaion), my professors preached to us about taking our vitamins. Now I understand why!
I drink roobios red tea (my favorite is any brand of red tea with vanilla...yum!) and I wash my hands when I leave the restroom. Hand washing goes a long way in the winter.
That said, don't over do hand washing when a lot of diseases aren't going around. My dad used to be a military recruiter and the healthiest recruits were farm boys and inner city kids because their mamas didn't run after them with soap whenever they got dirty. They had a good immune system because they used theirs!
However, it is also good to note that overuse of antibacterial soaps is causing a lot of drug resistant bacterial infections so it is actually better to use NORMAL soap instead of the antibacterials. While they're great in certain circumstances, does it really matter if they're dead or just off of where you washed?
I think getting enough sleep is the best way to stay healthy, followed closely by making time for fun and relaxation -- whether it's shopping, a good (or trashy) book, crafting, or whatever you like!
I start taking lots of vitamin C and I also start eating/drinking lots of immune boosting foods and tea.
Drink lots of water, every day!
Vitamins, pom juice, extra sleep!
Exercise and drink lots of water! And get as much sleep as I can with a 3 year old and a 5 month old :-)
Wash, wash, wash your hands! And I give my kids Horehounds Blend (homeopathic) at the first little cough I hear to help prevent it from traveling down and sounding like croup...
Sleep and a healthy diet. I definitely notice that when either of these is lacking, I'm more prone to catching bugs.
Eating healthy (or at least healthier)! Can't eat 'junk' food if you don't buy it in the first place! ;)
We drink lots of keifer and take our vitamins!
Handwashing and lots of fresh air!
REST! And Probiotics!
Wash your hands often and for 2 birthday songs long
Washing hands and lots of herbal tea to flush out toxins!
Handwashing FTW!
I'm always healthier when I'm drinking lots of water.
I suggest getting a full 8 hours of sleep every night. Studies show that sleep deprivation leads to weight gain and lack of focus during the day.

Neti Pot every day!
Eat healthy, take your vitamins, and hand sanitizer. Lots and lots of hand sanitizer. Also a shopping cart cover for the baby.
Drinking water, vitamins (especially D!), lots of hand washing, exercise, eating well and getting sleep. Easy right? ;)
I like to see a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies. It helps me feel better :)
eating lots of food that came straight from the ground!!
I suggest making sure that at least one third of each meal contains fruits or vegetables.
runningmatey at hotmail dot com
Drink tons of water, and just when you think you've had enough, drink more.

Sometimes a nice hot shower can help me fight off something. Most times my showers are super fast. ( my house falls apart when I am not there)
I suggest planting your own organic garden or participating in a community garden. We have our own garden, and grow fruit and veggies every year. That way, we are assured that only earth-friendly insect repellents are used and that the produce is NGMO. Gardening is a workout as well.

Drink tons of water and rest when your body feels run down.
tracyannhong{at}gmail{dot}com
EmergencC packets with juice - lots of vitamin C!
Get sufficient sleep, especially during cold and flu season!
eemoody77 at gmail dot com
My tip for staying healthy is to press the "pause" button and abstain from the tv, computer and video games every so often, go out doors and exercise in the sunshine. The devices will be there when you get back!

echinacea caplets or tea really keep me going through flu and cold season.
Drink hot tea if you wake up with a sore throat. And take probiotics whenever you are coming down with something - and especialy if you've been on atibioitics. :)
My best tip is to make sure you wash your hands frequently and be sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
My tip is take vitamin c at the first sign of a cold.

Stay hydrated! It doesn't have to be water (most drinks are hydrating), but make sure you drink enough fluids!

I love to take every day recipes and tweak them to make them healthier. For example in my morning pancakes I add wheat germ and substitute applesauce for oil, add fruit, and use egg substitute. They always turn out yummy and I feel a lot less guilty!
