We cloth diaper our baby. I also take public transit to and from work everyday.
We also cloth diaper our baby. And we reuse our grocery bags/have a stash of cloth grocery bags. And our food scraps go to feed the farm animals where we live. It isn't a lot, but it's a start!
We try to recycle and reuse everything we can. We compost kitchen and yard waste, too!
I have an organic veggie garden and I compost!
We have recycled for years, compost, garden a bit, and re-use all our clothes for either patches, kid play clothes, or at the very least, dust rags :)
Sarah M
We cloth diaper, and most of my son's wardrobe was purchased at a consignment sale.
We recycle anything and everything possible! We also buy local products whenever we can, grow our own veggies and eat 90% vegetarian.
I combine errands into one or two days so that we're not driving our car everyday.
We cloth diaper. And hardly buy anything new (yay for yard sales and thrift stores!)
I just switched to cloth diapers (and love it!).
We've significantly cut down on the amount of meat we eat, both in solidarity with our brothers and sisters overseas who can't afford meat, and because it takes so much energy to produce.
I just moved from the country to the city and can now ride my bike on my 3 mile commute to work - a nice change from the 18 mile drive I used to have every day!
love the bags!! and I could really use that maternity wear!
just liked it on Facebook!! hope I win!
We maintain a paper free kitchen and we compost all of our food scraps. We're also working on getting backyard chickens!! What a fun giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity!
Well, I try it in many ways (maybe no the better ones, but the ones I can apply):
- We buy and eat all our groceries at a fair trade store. And all our vegetables are organics.
- We have a garden of our own. And it´s organic too.
- We minimize -almost totally- processed food. Instead of that, we prepare everything at home.
- We bring and use cloth bags to bring our groceries and meat at home.
- We don´t use plastic bags in our refrigarator: to keep things there, we use cloth bags (homemade!).
- We use cloth diapers (until three weeks ago. Now our baby goes by herself to potty.)
- We use biodegradable dish soap, vinager to clean our house, and try to minimize the use of shampoo.
- We use biodegradable plastic (last like 12 or 24 months) to take our garbage away (and -although I know it´s better than other plastics- I would love to find another way to do so...).
- We don´t buy water to drink: have reusable plastic bottles at home.
We are members of a CSA program, we recycle everything, and we compost!
We cloth diaper and use green cleaning products.
I don't use plastic shopping bag...I bring my own reusable ones. I also clean with vinegar and recycle everything I can.
I walk a LOT and I recycle as much as possible (including lugging coke bottles to school because my apartment doesn't have recycling bins). I wish I could do more, but not having a car is a step in the right direction, right?
we recycle everything under the sun and this summer, we grew our own vegetables
We use cloth napkins and never use paper/plastic plates and silverware.
We've always been recyclers but we also started doing some serious composting a few years ago and continue to be amazed at how little garbage we actually put out on the curb every week. Plus my gardens are thriving with the seasonal addition of a compost mixture.
I ride my bike and scooter and rarely drive a car!!

We always bring our own shopping bags to the grocery store, compost our kitchen scraps, and recycle. Great giveaway -- thanks!
I like to reuse jars from the food I buy. A nutella jar will fit nuts and cheerios very well. Baby food jars are great for jewelry! Old kool-ade containers are great for bath time and to hold baby formula on the go. It's a small thing to do, but it helps and it's fun trying to find a new use for something that would otherwise just be thrown away.
I recycle (even though that means loading up the car and sorting them all (maybe one year we'll have curbside recycling)), refashion clothes, turn off lights, have the water heater temperature set low, wash my clothes in cold water, reuse containers and bags, and have a garden.
i try to recycle, re-fasion, and re-pourpose everything we have.
We buy used, recycle and try to live conscientiously. We support (through our purchasing power!) fair trade and home made whenever possible.
Most importantly... we're teaching our girls about their responsibility to keep our world lovely :)
I like to reuse empty baby jars and other containers to make crafts.
We take our cloth bags to the store, reuse jars and ziploc bags, and recycle. :) Thanks for the chance to win!

This company looks awesome!

I am a thrifting junkie. My latest green endeavor is making my 1 year old daughter tiny concert t's from the giant selection of 90's country artist t-shirts that fill up our Nashville Goodwills. Today's she's sporting Garth Brooks. Environmentally friendly and adorable. What more could a mama ask for?

I grow most of my own veggies in the backyard, take public transportation to work and we're planning to use cloth diapers when our little pea arrives in January. And our city composts so that really helps!
I use cloth produce bags, reusable grocery bags, make my own household cleaners, buy only green biodegradable products(trashbags, foil, serving ware). teach my 2yr son that recycling is very important for the earth.
I made my own cotton shopping bags. We keep them in the car so we always have them handy. We also recycle.
kdavis1@centurytel.net
I used cloth diapers on my baby, family cloth for ourselves, reusable shopping bags, make my own clothes out of old clothes, shopping at our farmer's market, grow herbs and small veggies in my tiny patio, and use products with the least amount of harsh chemicals. :)

We have a behemoth rain barrel; the water is used for the garden and animals, and the kids even used it to fill a basin for bathing out doors this summer!
So many cloth diaper-ers on here! That's what we do too. Along with many other things, we utilize our local farmers market, which promotes local veggies, meats and cheeses that are grown my men and women in my community dedicated to growing organically and sustainably.
I plan a fundraiser for the St. Johns Riverkeeper, I breastfeed, we drive a hybrid, and we use cloth napkins and rags instead of papertowels!

We love shopping at the farmer's market!
We're building a passive-solar house. The intent is to be as self sufficient as possible with biggies like heat and water. We'll explore alternatives for electric down the road as well.

We recycle what we can (what they will take). We have tried composting in the past, but now all our scraps go to our chickens. We also use an on-demand water heater instead of a tank.
