So cute! I love the Robert Munsch books -- all of them!
I LOVE this fabric- in fact- I love this entire line. I have a 5 mo little boy who is definitely going to get some cute john johns out of these patterns.
As a little girl I LOVED Clifford. I got my little man a stuffed Clifford to hold while I read them. I also read him "On the Night You Were Born" to him every night before bed. It is SO adorable.
I absolutely adore Jane Yolen's "How Do Dinosaurs..." books. They teach great lessons and the art by Mark Teague is wonderful. She has also written many of my favorite YA novels as well.
My 2 year old's son's favorite book(s) are the Llama Llama series. In fact, he crawls in my lap each night and asks for "llama llama llama." In Llama Llama misses Mama, he has named all the kids at the school in the book kids from his school - including the teacher. And he thinks all the doors and cubbies are potties (clearly we are in the throws of potty training.) It makes me laugh and smile each time.
Precious fabric!
I LOVE the Bossy Bear series by David Horvath (the ugly dolls guy). They just crack me up.
This is SO adorable! I'm thinking boy project for sure (would it be too weird for a pair of shorts for a 27-year-old?)
My little girl's favorite book is called Mama's Kiss by Jane Yolen. It's about a mama who blows her daughter a kiss and the kiss gets away and travels all around and then the little girl catches it. It's so cute :)
Anything Winnie the Pooh!
I shared this on my FB page and tagged you as well (Becky Nutt)
My favorite has always been Madeline. She's fierce, sassy, and French.
My favorite is "The Relatives Came" by Cynthia Rylant.
My favorite book by far is "Pickle Chiffon Pie" by Jolly Roger Bradfield. My sister and I fought over who would get to keep the copy of it we had growing up and she won, but luckily it was reprinted and I was able to snag a copy on amazon!
I love those little whales!
My favorite story books are by Eric Carl, like Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar!
My daughters are really into anything Fancy Nancy. I got them hooked on a favorite of mine when I was a kid, The Jolly Postman. Its a story about a post man that delivers letters to people from storybooks. There are actual letters that you can take out and read to your kids. So cute!!
Also posted your link on FB. Love reading your blog daily. Thanks!!
Good Night, Moon. Loved by my both, now, teenagers, when they were, oh, so young and cuddly!
the mitten..such a good book and now that im a knitter its even more special to me!
I love reading Goodnight Moon to my son every night.
the mitten..such a good book and now that im a knitter its even more special to me!
I love this designer! I just bought Jay-Cyn's bicycle print that you featured on here awhile ago for my 10 month old boy's curtains.
The little book we're enjoying right now is Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes by Mem Fox. It's just the sweetest little story.
My current favorite storybook is Bouncy Baby. It's the first little board book my little one got excited about and always pulls off the shelf for me to read. The baby in it claps, splashes, eats, dances, and waves. So she loves to do all those things as I read the book - so fun!
I'm loving the come back of the Dr. Suess books. Thanks for a chance to win this fabric.
twelve30{at}gmail{dot}com
Japanese Fairy Tales (A Giant Golden Book). Not only are the stories fantastic, but the illustrations rock!
Love this fabric! Right now my 2 year olds favorite book is Freight Train by Donald Crews. He is loving anything train right now!

My mom says she still has Cinderella memorized from reading it to me so many times, but my personal favorite that I now read to my daughter now is The Tale of Two Bad Mice.
My favorite child's book is Donkey Donkey. I am currently on the lookout for a copy while I go to yard sales. I have no idea what happened to the copy I read to my kids. I now want one for our granddaughter who is due in October. Would like the cute fabric is make my grandson something cute. THANKS, P. Frederick hellopf@yahoo.com
This is a very tough decision. I will have to go with Winnie the Pooh, though....classic A.A. Milne, of course.
Love this fabric!

My favorite is probably the Winnie the Pooh books, but my son's favorite right now is the surprisingly boy-friendly "Cuddle". A little boy in it talks about why it wouldn't work to hug a bunch of wild animals like "If I cuddled a tiger, I'd end up as dinner!" and the illustrations are cute. I definitely recommend it!
PS my Internet hates me and keeps posting comments before I'm ready. So sorry about that. I deleted the comment that posted only the word "My", lol.
We love the "Little House" books. Even my boys enjoy hearing about Laura and Mary!
What great fabric! I was just looking for something fun for the boys.
For my two year old little girl it's all about Madeline. "Wead Ma-ah-line Mama?" We have all the books in one volume that sits by the bed and each night we read one story until it's time to start over again. When Monkey gets fussy in the grocery cart, all I have to do is start with, "In an old house that was covered with vines..."
That fabric is so cute! My kids loved all of the Berenstein Bears' books many years ago.
My all time favorites are the Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie Series. For younger kids I love Berkely Breathed's illustrations!
I always loved The Giving Tree.
I love Sandra Boynton's books - my son's current favorite is "Moo, Baa, La La La."
My favorite book as a little girl was Geraldine's Blanket. I checked that book out from the library probably 400 times. I'm now expecting my first baby and for my birthday last month, my mom bought me my very own copy to share with my baby. :)
My boys are small still and I fell in love with Sandra Boynton pretty early on... before they understood what books really were. I love Farmyard Dance, Moo Baa La La La, and Snuggle Puppy especially. :)
Beautiful fabric! My favorite story books are "Good Night Moon" and "The Rainbow Fish". Good luck everyone!
Good Night Gorilla by Peggy Rathmann because it makes my 2 year old laugh & Consider Love by Sandra Boynton because it makes this mommy cry :)
I LOVE this fabric! And I love "Mrs. Rumphius," still one of my favorite books.
I love this fabric--it'd be fabulous for my baby, Jonah. 'Cause when your name's Jonah, it's good when the whales are little and on you, rather than big and all around you. He's loving Frog and Toad. But he's only 5 months old, so I suspect that has more to do with his parents loving Frog and Toad. ;)
my favorite book was "owl at home" by arnold lobel. owl always made me laugh!
Just read Curious George Goes to the Hospital tonight. My puzzle loving 4 year old thinks it so funny that he thinks a puzzle piece is a piece of candy! Also loving Tomie DePaola & his Strega Nona books. Would love to win some of that adorable fabric. Thanks for the chance!

The whale fabric reminds me of a book I love to read to my kids, "Amos and Boris." A wonderful book about friendship despite differences.
we love the Gruffulo!
There are far too many to pick a favorite, but The Giving Tree always stands out in my mind.
I've been reading my boys "The Fourteen Bears - Summer & Winter" by Evelyn Scott. It was my absolute favorite book when I was little. My mom (bless her heart) saved the book and presented it to my oldest son when he was 2. Now it is a family favorite all over again. LOVE THAT!!!
My son loves Goodnight Moon.
This fabric is adorable! I love "On the Day you Were Born" and the book "Someday."
My kids love it when I read "The Monster at the End of This Book" with them. Probably because I do the Grover voice, LOL!

Where the Wild Things Are was one my little brother and I asked for over and over again!
The Giving Tree is always a favorite!
I'm a first grade teacher, so picking just one favorite story book is so hard! One of my all-time favorites, though, is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad day...I think mostly because we all have days that feel like that!
I love this whale print and the classic feel that it has...so cute!
We love any and all Rachel Isadora!

I have recently re-discovered some of the Virginia Lee Burton books with my almost-two-year-old daughter. I used to love those books as a kid, especially The Little House and Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel.

HAHA I loved Beatrix too! However my fave has always been Nancy Drew, shes smart, witty, and always has a fun mystery to solve! Wait, is that a storybook?
I love everything Roald Dahl's ever written That man was a genius, pure and simple.

When I was small we had a bunch of Golden Books (remember those?) and I loved to read them. I thought they were so special with the gold spine! As for our little one, he's a big fan of Eric Carle books, who could blame him?
Btw, love this weeks fabric -- such a great treat to have something boy friendly. I think it would make a cute sun hat for our little guy and maybe some matching shorts....
We just returned from Cape Cod, and my two year-old is obsessed with whales AND evening the score for having mama make him as many things as his big sister. This would be perfect. Fingers crossed!
My daughter snuggles up to her organic whales and cloud cot quilt while watching her favorite shows playschool, the smurfs and miffy. Bedtime we pull out my old golden books choose one and explore all tge stories that i use to love.
Oh anything by Oliver Jeffers ... Lost and Found etc .. magical!
my favorite storybook was pippi longstocking - I thought she was hilarious! and this fabric so reminds me of that and her seafaring Captain/chief of a father and the book where they went to the island to visit him!

My baby loves "I Love You Stinky Face." It's her favorite.
My favorite storybook is "The Giving Tree."

So anytime marshals has books in spanish (usually during christmas season) i take the opportunity and buy as many books as possible with their great prices. right now i am reading her a collection of disney stories.
So many wonderful comments--I've seen so many of my favorites here. But the one I loved as a child, that my mother read to me and I now give to special kids on special birthdays or holidays, is Babar.
wordygirl at earthlink dot net
I absolutely LOVE Shel Silverstein's Giving Tree. I cry almost every time I read it to my kids. I've had some great conversations with my children about love as a result of reading this book.
Where the Wild Things Are. Classic for every generation.
Three way tie for me between three treasuries -- the Richard Scarry Busy Town book, the Winnie the Pooh treasury and the Curious George treasury!
My favourite book as a girl was Reckless Ruby, a story about a little girl who was so beautiful and so precious that her parents wanted her to marry a prince who would wrap her up in cotton wool and always protect her and keep her safe, but she wanted to grow up to be a fireman so she tried to prove to her parents that she wasn't precious. She walked across the amazon river in lead boots, she hung from sky scrapers from her shoe laces, she had dinner with a boa constrictor, she ran away to sea and much much more. The story ends with her parents getting so angry they tell her she's not precious at all and they stop being too protective and fussing over her too much and she ends up going skateboarding with her friend harvey and telling him when she grows up she'll become a fireman.
Sorry...didn't mean to re-live the whole story, it just made me feel so good as I was such a tom-boy and I had to re-live it. Good luch everyone!
Go dog Go was one of my favorite books and I love reading it to my daughter!! I also like the narnia series and cant wait till my kids are a bit older so we can add it to their story time!
My favorite books when I was little were the Lowly the Worm ones. I remember my dad reading them to me and they were the first books I ever read. After my parents got divorced, I spent a lot of time with my aunt. I used to sneak into her bed first thing in the morning and she would cuddle with me and read a big Beatrix Potter book to me, regaling me with tales of Benjamin Bunny and Nutkin. Fond memories. :)
My favorite is The Little Prince. Can't wait until my son is old enough to not try to rip out the pages when I read it to him!
I love classic stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, Rapunzel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Sleeping Beauty. For modern stories, it would be Brown Bear, Brown Bear and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

My favorite book as a child was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I love how the tree takes care of the boy through out all the stages of the boys life. I absolutely LOVE the whale fabric. My husband has loved whales since he was a little boy that he even said he wanted to be a whale when he grew up! We are expecting our first baby and I think the whale fabric is so appropriate to help give our nursery a little piece of my husbands childhood.
I don't have kiddies of my own yet, but I can't wait to share my massive childhood storybook collection with them when I become a mom. I must have read "Blueberries for Sal" and "Mirette on the Highwire" a thousand times, and I can't wait to read them a thousand times more with my future kids.
And I love the whales! This fabric would make an adorable John-John.

When I was a child visiting my grandparents I would climb up in my grandfather's lap while he told me long, elaborate stories involving the epic adventures of three brothers and their only sister (my brother's and I, of course!). He would hold me and tell me fantastic tales of the siblings' adventures for hours, until finally the children saved the day and went back home to climb in their beds. After the "Epic Adventure" ended I would demand he read Albert the Albatross by Syd Hoff. I loved hearing about the little bird's misadventures, and imagining my grandfather befriending albatrosses himself when he was a sailor during the second world war. My grandfather's love of stories led me to a lifetime of being enamored with words (English major! lol) and more specifically the little book by Mr. Hoff led to my discovery of another story about an albatross, one of the best poems of all time, Samuel Taylor Coolidge's "The Rime (sic) of the Ancient Mariner." Now I read Albert the Albatross with my children, and they love it as much as I did.
