FABRIC FRIDAY!

Doesn't this print just make you want to roll in a bed of flowers? It's Joel Dewberry Heirloom Rose Bouquet in Sky from Fabricworm, and we have a yard of it to give away to one Prudent Mama! We've decided to change up Fabric Friday, so this week, instead of our favorite comment of the week, we're going to award the prize in the traditional way; by randomly selecting a winner from this post's comments. So to enter, leave us a comment on this post telling us what your favorite flower is and why. Mine is a toss up between peonies (so luscious, and the way they change color in the vase is magical) and ranunculus (i love their sculptural stems). Leave your comment anytime between now and next Friday, July 29th. Tweet, stumble, or share on facebook and leave another comment letting us now. Come back every day for new entries. We'll randomly select a winner and announce right here next Friday.

Find out who won last week's Fabric Friday after the jump...

This week's winner takes home a yard of sweet Michael Miller, Bicycles Citron. And the winner is...

ChefSara, who said:
my husband is an avid cyclist, and commutes to work by bike. since we're a one car family, it means he rides his bike in, regardless of the weather. i would use this to make him a custom lunch bag that fits perfectly into his bike bag, to make it easier to get his lunch to and from work. with the remaining, i would make a little pouch for his wallet and cell phone for his long weekend rides.

THREE MAN GIFTS! We want a pictures. Go ahead and use the contact form to send us your address and Fabricworm will send off your prize!

I LOVE ranunculus... gardenias too. But the winner for me is the magnolia flower. They are huge and beautiful and just remind me of the south (where I should have been born and raised!). Maybe someday I'll be able to live there... in the meantime I need a magnolia tree and this fabric. :)

I love the little purple wild violets that pop up randomly here in the deep South. They cannot be bought at a nursery; they're more of a "hand-me-down plant". My grandfather let them have free reign over his backyard. Now, every time I move into a new home, I go back to that old house and dig up a clump of my Papaw's violets. His sweet little wildflowers have been spread to more than a few more states now. lol They'll always be my favorite.

My favorite flowers are chrysanthemums. I love how "poofy" they are and their colors. They just seem like happy flowers ;) Random fact: They are also my birth month flower!

Peonies are my favorite because my great grandmother, from rural North Carolina, loved them. She called them Pee-OH-nees, and I think of her whenever I see them.

I love this fabric. It is the exact colors of my kitchen, and I am thinking about some wonderful little cafe curtains to hang above the sink.

Double Delight roses! Double Delight=color +scent. They start out pale yellowy-white and gradually turn deeper pinky-red and they smell heavenly. A friend gave me the rose bush in honor of my mom when she died and it has been just the best remembrance!

I love Birds of Paradise, I love the tall green stems and the exotic orange & purple tops. (petals)
The flower resembles a bird in flight. (that's how it got it's name) I had them in my flower arrangements at my wedding!

Zinnias are my fave! They are beautiful, happy and don't follow the rules. They can actually take the summer heat in Texas.

I would have to say my favorite flower is a hydrangea. I love the pom pom look on the bush and how they look in a vase with peonies, ranunculus and roses. I love hydrangeas so much that my husband had a ring with two hydrangea blossoms custom made as my wedding ring.

The vintage design with a newer vibrant color scheme almost reminds me of the 60s that I missed! I have a sheet in green and blues that reminds me of this pattern, very fun!

No matter how much I love roses and daffodils and naked ladies, my all-time favorite flower is a fuchsia. I love the way they hang, like little princess dolls! And their colors are gorgeous.
