FABRIC FRIDAY!
Doesn't this print just make you want to roll in a bed of flowers? It's Joel Dewberry Heirloom Rose Bouquet in Sky from Fabricworm, and we have a yard of it to give away to one Prudent Mama! We've decided to change up Fabric Friday, so this week, instead of our favorite comment of the week, we're going to award the prize in the traditional way; by randomly selecting a winner from this post's comments. So to enter, leave us a comment on this post telling us what your favorite flower is and why. Mine is a toss up between peonies (so luscious, and the way they change color in the vase is magical) and ranunculus (i love their sculptural stems). Leave your comment anytime between now and next Friday, July 29th. Tweet, stumble, or share on facebook and leave another comment letting us now. Come back every day for new entries. We'll randomly select a winner and announce right here next Friday.
Find out who won last week's Fabric Friday after the jump...
This week's winner takes home a yard of sweet Michael Miller, Bicycles Citron. And the winner is...
ChefSara, who said:
my husband is an avid cyclist, and commutes to work by bike. since we're a one car family, it means he rides his bike in, regardless of the weather. i would use this to make him a custom lunch bag that fits perfectly into his bike bag, to make it easier to get his lunch to and from work. with the remaining, i would make a little pouch for his wallet and cell phone for his long weekend rides.
THREE MAN GIFTS! We want a pictures. Go ahead and use the contact form to send us your address and Fabricworm will send off your prize!

I LOVE ranunculus... gardenias too. But the winner for me is the magnolia flower. They are huge and beautiful and just remind me of the south (where I should have been born and raised!). Maybe someday I'll be able to live there... in the meantime I need a magnolia tree and this fabric. :)
I love this summery print! My favourite flowers are daisies, I love how simple and long lasting they are. I know, I don't have very expensive taste when it comes to flowers, my second fave are carnations! ha!
shared on facebook!
My fav flower is the tulip. They're plain and simple...kinda like me! LOL
I love roses...so classic and beautiful. My mother has a beautiful rose garden and when I think of them I think of her tending to them....beautiful memory!
I too love peonies and also orchids! Love love love this fabric!
Oh my, I love peonies! They are just so interesting and full looking!
I don't know how to choose! I love peonies for their petals, gerbera daisies because they make me smile but I have a tattoo of plumerias and hibiscus and plans for one with cherry blossoms. Umm... I might be addicted to flowers. :)
Fav flower... hmmmm, not as much in a vase, but I love a flowerbed full of redish poppies in bloom!

Let's try this again....Favorite FLOWER (not fabric!)....hmmmm...I like day lilies a lot because they bloom for so long, but I really like calla lillies and roses! Balloon flowers are neat as well.
I am also a lover of peonies!
That print is gorgeous! My favorite is the peony. It's the state flower of Indiana (my home) and I love how fleeting their beauty is. I moved heaven and earth to make sure they were the star of my bridal bouquet!
My favorite flower is the gerber daisy. Simple, I know but that is why I love it! Thanks for a chance to win.

I love the little purple wild violets that pop up randomly here in the deep South. They cannot be bought at a nursery; they're more of a "hand-me-down plant". My grandfather let them have free reign over his backyard. Now, every time I move into a new home, I go back to that old house and dig up a clump of my Papaw's violets. His sweet little wildflowers have been spread to more than a few more states now. lol They'll always be my favorite.
I love sunflowers! They are so happy!
I am definitely a sunflower girl. Every summer when I was a kid, my mom and I would plant sunflowers. That meant a lot because we were always moving since my dad was in the Marines. At one point my bedroom had a sunflower theme.
I love Hydrangeas - those perfect, lush blue/purple/white globes of petals get me every time. Even the foliage is pretty!
Daisies - since childhood they've been my flower.

I love lilies so much, I even named my daughter Lily! I just love the simplistic beauty of them. Lilies of the valley, day lilies, easter lilies, so pretty! They also smell nice, well, most of them. :D This fabric is beautiful, gl everyone.
My favorite are purple tulips! One of the first signs of spring and just so beautiful to me. :)
I love daisies! They are such a happy flower and always make me smile. I love love love love love that fabric and want to make my little girl a dress with it or maybe some pillows for my couch so I can constantly admire how lovely it is!
I shared how great your site is and a link on facebook and also liked your FB page just for extra brownie points because I think you are great!!!
My favourites are pansies just because they always seem so cheery. jmclean at mts dot net
I love climbing roses (white please) and pincushion flower (scabiosa - horrible name for such a pretty plant!)
My favorites are hydrangea and ranunculus (which I always end up calling rundiculus)
Tulips! Tulips! and more Tulips!! although I can't seem to keep them alive they are SO beautiful(to me).
I love peonies, they bring so many sweet memories from growing up! I love how they are so soft and delicate. They also smell wonderful! I can't wait to plant some around my first house!
Gerber daisies are my favorite flowers. I love the bright, vibrant colors!!!
Jess
This would make a perfect purse!!!! I live this look and I have a shirt that would go great with it!!!
my favorite looking flower is the peonies, however for a cut flower to have in the house I really like daisies because of how cheery they are
My favorite flowers are daffodils. I love them, I live in the northeast in the snow belt and when I see my daffodils come up it just cheers me up, and lets me know spring is here and everything just seems to come alive again:) What beautiful fabric! Thanks for a great giveaway!
I love marigolds. They are cheerful looking, useful in the garden to keep pests away and so simple to grow that even a fool (like me) can keep them alive.
I love freesia and tulips - so pretty and colorful; lilies - love the dramatic colors and shape (daughter's middle name is Lily); and gardenias - love the scent (planted one next to the patio and it's divine when in bloom).
this fabric is stunning! i would definetly say lilies. they are simple, yet breathtaking!
My favorites are amaryllis. I was married-to the greatest man ever- in early January 2010. My main bouquet flower was a Candy-Striped Amaryllis- white with thin red stripes and speckles. So stunning with a touch of vintage flair :D
I love lilacs - unfortunately they do not grow in Texas. I grew up in Minnesota and they were our springtime favorite - so beautiful and refreshing after a long winter.
i love that fabric! my favorite flower hands down is the sunflower. my grandma and i used to pull over to the side of the road in california where they grow wild and cut them and take them home and enjoy them, then let them dry in the sun and take out the seeds for the birds. great memory=favorite flower.
Apple blossoms are my favorite flower. Apple blossoms mean Spring to me, and I love their scent, which always conjures many fond Spring memories.
Morning glories are my favorite flowers. I haven't grown any in a while, but I remember the pleasure of going out and seeing a wall of blue. Kind of an incentive to get up early!!

I love lilies! Very pretty fabric.
My favorite flower is Stock. I love the cluster blooms and the soft fragrance, the foliage is thick and fuzzy too....perfect! :)

I do love peonies as well. They were the flowers I used in my wedding. Every time I smell them I think of that wonderful day when my life became so richly blessed.
I love pansies and violas. They come in a wide variety of colors and have such happy "faces"
The fabric has a nice vintage feel.
Unfortunately, I cannot have real flowers around (the fragrances are too much for me), but I luv the way peonies look!
So pretty! Lilies are among my most favorite of flowers. There are so many varieties, but I love them all!
My favorite flower right now is the hydrangea. They make my walks with my daughter an aromatic dream since almost everyone in our neighborhood has them in their yard.
My favorite flower is either peonies or hydrangeas-just one flower can fill a vase and brighten a room, plus they look great in my garden!
I absolutely LOVE hydrangeas. So many pretty colors and varieties, big full heads of flowers, not a whole lot of scent, no pollen (I'm allergic to most others), and just lovely for arrangements. I used them in my wedding along with roses...another favorite! I love how sculptural both flowers are. Just one bloom makes such a statement. Thank you for offering such a beautiful fabric giveaway!
Carnations are probably my favorite flower........ when my husband and I were dating we lived 2hrs apart from each other and he would randomly send bouquets of carnations to me at work to let me know he was thinking about me........ We've been married for nearly 8 years and he still surprises me with them here and there!
I love all of the flowers that are native to our area - black-eyed Susans, echinacea, etc, but for my favorite exotic, indulgent flower, I love a brilliant bougainvillea.
And yeah for random comment selection! No pressure to try to write your "favorite" comment.
I am a fan of peonies, tulips, hydrangea... okay, so I like flowers. I really love some of the wild flowers that grow in MT where I grew up, but I don't remember their names...
Bougainvillea (sp?)
I love the way they stretch out and just hang:)

peonies are my favorite flower!
i stumbled this!
My favorite flowers are dinnerplate size dahlias.
This print is beautiful...thanks for the chance!
My favorite is pink roses. This was the flower pattern in the lace-edged comforter and curtains in my grandmother's bedroom when I was growing up. I marveled at the feminine pattern. It was the flower in my wedding bouquet. A painted picture of the bouquet hangs above my baby girl's crib. Never thought how significant this flower has been to me until now!
I LOOOOOVE gardenias. They smell absolutely delicious! You know they are around you before you can even see them. And not to mention, are completely beautiful. My favorite, hands down.
My favorite are magnolia blossoms. Their lemon scent and the big waxy leaves of the magnolia. In a beautiful little vase.....perfection!
Sew cute! I love hydragena and gerber daisies.
Tulips. They look perfect in a vase, in the yard. Anywhere. I just love them.
I love zinnias and i cannot get any of them to sprout in my garden this summer. WAH!

just love this gorgeous fabric!
Oh, those colours are devine!
I love tulips. I always love when spring time comes around and I start seeing tulips everywhere. They are just so bright and pretty.
Ooh, how pretty... I'm having twin girls, and one yard is perfect for making two matching fat quarter skirts and accessories ;)
Favorite flower... I'm going to say hydrangeas. My parents' house has two bushes, one in the back with pale, multicolored flowers and one out front with bold blue flowers. Did you know it was the acidity of the soil that determines flower color? I did not. So neat :)
lilly of the valley! the are so tiny and sweet
Another favorite.. Clematis.. Such beautiful papery thin perfection on a stem. :)
Calla Lilies! The shape is art in itself.
This fabric is gorgeous! My favorite flower is technically a tree. It is the dogwood because it reminds me of growing up in Tennessee.
Lillies are my favourite flower. Their scent is so intoxicating....
Have tweeted this post.
Have shared on Facebook.
Hydrangeas. Because they are beautiful from when they bloom until after they change color and dry.
Oh so pretty! My favorite flower is a lily just because it's so beautiful and delicate looking. Because of it, my daughter is named Lillian :)
I love daisies. Sweet and simple.
Every since I was a little girl, my mom would get me a bouquet of daffodils for my spring birthday. I still get them after having been married and out of their house for 14 years. She tells everyone that daffodils are my favorite flower.
At the risk of hurting her feelings, and sounding like an ingrate with no sense of sentimentality, but I am really tired of them. I like poppies better. :)
My favorite flowers are lilies of the valley. They are so delicate and have such a lovely scent. They are also the May flower and my husband, my daughter, and I all have birthdays in May.
my favorite flowers are orchids! theyre so beautiful, elegant and come in many different colors! i also love how unique they are!
Sweet peas! The scent brings back childhood memories.
My favorite flower is a rose. They were the first flowers my husband ever gave me.
I love jasmine and gardenia for their scents. So lovely!

I'm back again! My ebay account name incorporates my favorite flower.. purple tulips :)
My favorite flowers are chrysanthemums. I love how "poofy" they are and their colors. They just seem like happy flowers ;) Random fact: They are also my birth month flower!
I love snapdragons. My 16 month old daughter just learned how to make them "snap" and it just makes my day!
Peonies are my favorite because my great grandmother, from rural North Carolina, loved them. She called them Pee-OH-nees, and I think of her whenever I see them.
I love this fabric. It is the exact colors of my kitchen, and I am thinking about some wonderful little cafe curtains to hang above the sink.
My favorite flower is the Hydrangea, in any color, I love them!
My favorite flower is gerbera. They are so pretty!!!
definitely the daffodil. They're usually the first to bloom in spring & always make me happy with their little orange, yellow, and white faces
lauraebier at gmail dot com
Double Delight roses! Double Delight=color +scent. They start out pale yellowy-white and gradually turn deeper pinky-red and they smell heavenly. A friend gave me the rose bush in honor of my mom when she died and it has been just the best remembrance!
Ohhh my favorite is either peonies, hydrangeas, calla lilies, roses... oh how can I pick just one?!
I love Birds of Paradise, I love the tall green stems and the exotic orange & purple tops. (petals)
The flower resembles a bird in flight. (that's how it got it's name) I had them in my flower arrangements at my wedding!
Zinnias are my fave! They are beautiful, happy and don't follow the rules. They can actually take the summer heat in Texas.
Clematis.. Such beautiful papery thin perfection!and.. purple tulips! :)
peonies! so soft, romantic and fragrant. Also reminds me of my paren'ts backyard.
Daily entry- I also love hyacinth. So beautiful and classy.
I didn't know about the renunculus until a few months ago and just fell in love with them. They are gorgeous! Second are orchids. They are so exotic.
i love coneflowers… They are the perfect lazy summer flower. They last for months and just make me smile every time I see them!
mcintosh dot kimberley at gmail dot com
I love peonies and lily of the valley!
All of them....how can I choose just one? Callas, hydrangeas, camellia, violets, lilies, roses, lupine, peony, jasmine, bleeding hearts....it just goes on and on!
I love flowers.. Gotta add snapdragons to my list of favorites!
Entering again! I was reading through some of the rest of the comments and I also have to add iris, snapdragons, peonies, lilac, and lotus flowers to my list of fav's. Some for the smell, and all for the beauty!
tweeted @xRabidPandax
I would have to say my favorite flower is a hydrangea. I love the pom pom look on the bush and how they look in a vase with peonies, ranunculus and roses. I love hydrangeas so much that my husband had a ring with two hydrangea blossoms custom made as my wedding ring.
My favorite flowers are wildflowers, the kind that fill the ditches and open fields with all kinds of vibrant colors!
I am a big fan of Night Blooming Jasmine. It blooms alot and has this wonderful sweet smell that makes me feel like summer.
I love the intricate design of lilies! They are so beautiful and majestic. They are such a beautiful creation. recently had some purple ones, gorgeous.
The vintage design with a newer vibrant color scheme almost reminds me of the 60s that I missed! I have a sheet in green and blues that reminds me of this pattern, very fun!
Moon Flower. Big Trumpet sized (and I do mean Trumpet SIZED) Blooms that only open in the twilight to night. They smell wonderful. They grow like crazy too!
No matter how much I love roses and daffodils and naked ladies, my all-time favorite flower is a fuchsia. I love the way they hang, like little princess dolls! And their colors are gorgeous.
