Well, we're done with gifts for the Precious (our 5 month old, Lucy), but my goal is to get started on a quiet book in January--see blog link below--this is a fantastic tutorial.

Also, we love, love, love the wooden toys at this Etsy shop, and have directed the grandparents there: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62555065/wooden-hedgehogs-and-mushrooms-waldorf

I'm free-styling an owl ornament for my goddaughter, but don't have pictures up yet--will post when I'm finished--need to get it done soon!

I found the store Lily and Thistle from the blog MADE recently and it is really cool. http://www.minimepaperdolls.com/
Hannah is really nice and makes paper dolls to look like your little girl or boy. You get to choose from lots of options to decide their hair, eyes, skin color, and even freckles or glasses. You can buy them pre printed or you can print them yourself. It also comes with a cd so you can reprint your little mini me if your child destroys the first one. If you sign up for the outfit of the month club you'll receive a new outfit every month in your email. So fun! And of course for a littler girl, you can make them their very own Black Apple Doll that looks like them too. http://www.marthastewart.com/article/black-apple-doll?lnc=38f9cf380e1dd010VgnVCM1000005b09a00aRCRD

looking at some of your book picks, i couldn't help but remember one of MY favorite books as a child:
http://www.amazon.com/Richard-Scarrys-Best-Word-Unabridged/dp/B000J07UG8
our version had english and german words in it (my parents were born in germany and immigrated with their families when they were young children). i think this would make a fabulous book for children who are brought up in multilingual homes. as of now, i can only find the english version but i'm sure if you look hard enough you can find ones with not only german, but french, spanish, italian, etc. i can remember spending hours looking all the intricate pictures of the talented richard scarry. such fun!!! :) i know my kids would love this book. i may have to just steal it from my parent's place next time we're in texas! :) hee hee!
