GIVEAWAY: SILHOUETTE DIGITAL CUTTING TOOL!!
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS CONCLUDED. A WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCE ON FRIDAY, OCT 1, 2010. THANKS EVERYONE! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!
We are very excited! We have a Silhouette Digital Cutting Machine to give away to one lucky Prudent Baby reader! I've noticed these cutting machines before but never thought they were for me because I'm not a scrapbooker. But when the ladies at How Does She? contacted us on Silhouette's behalf about doing a giveaway and promised a Silhouette for us (well, one of us, thanks Jaime!) and a Silhouette for you (well, one of you) how could we say no?!? If I didn't like it... I could just send it back and never speak of it again. Well, let me tell you, I like it. I like it very much. And I've only just begun!
So far, my projects are simple, using the templates that come with the starter kit, but I'm totally smitten and ready to try more! Maybe even some scrapbooking!
Here is a gift tag that I made with some cardstock!
And here is a little pillow-box that I made with more of my favorite Martha Stewart Craft Paper
And then just to try something new, I did this spoooooky spiderweb window-cling in adhesive vinyl. Clare has already requested an entire Halloween scene in her bedroom windows!
Click here to find out how to enter and for two lovely offers from Silhouette!
The Giveaway includes:
A Silhouette Machine (a $299.99 value)
Plus...
• Software for Windows XP/Vista, Mac• Power cable, USB cable
• 2 Cutting mats (one for thick media, one for thin media)
• One cutting blade
• $10 gift card to the Silhouette Online Store
To keep this fun and exciting we are going to announce a new way to enter each day until the giveaway ends on September 30th!
It's Thursday and the last day to enter for the chance to win. Just click on a few of our sponsors and/or advertisers sites and report back with something exciting that you find.... A product you can't live without? A hilarious post? A great grocery store coupon? Whatev's, let's just show them some love!
Click on up to 2 links and leave a separate comment for each! Thanks!
The winner must be in the USA and only one winner per household.
International readers, you know we love you!
The fine folks at Silhouette have also come up with two unbelievable package deals for Prudent Baby readers, but you must act fast...
Visit the Silhouette site, click shop, place the Silhouette SD in your basket, enter the discount code "BABY" at checkout and all discounts and freebies will show up in the basket

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 600 of 2645 Newer› Newest»
Pick me! Pick me! I'd make favor tags and banners! Such fun!
I would LOVE to try the rhinestones and the heat transfers. I make most of my kids clothes anymore and it would be SO fun to do some little projects. Plus, that would help get rid of the time I waste (I mean, use) cutting the freezer paper stencils.
I love it all!
The exacto knife and I aren't exactly friends, so I would use it to cut everything--paper, fabric, vinyl, you name it!
I love this :) I would like to try the class etching.
The vinyl decor, for sure! I would have so much fun making things for my kids rooms!!!!
I love to label! Definitely some labels
I love the sketching. I adore botanical sketches, but they're ridiculously expensive, and I'm not the most talented sketcher known to man, so that would be *FANTASTIC*! --Not to mention all of the amazing vinyl, card, and applique projects. Now if this machine could just fold the laundry....
fay_v_laverty at yahoo dot com
I would make some diecuts for the handmade cards I make.
i love the cupcake holders and the paper ornaments!! also i am in love with words for the walls cabinets shelves any where! i am trying my best to keep an organized house with an 18 month old an to be able to make things visual for her to tell where things go would be great... ( i bet my hubby could find a thing or 2 too!)
I want to try the temporary tatoos and some heat press vinyl. Pick me!
How do you choose what to make FIRST:decals, wrappers, cards, etc.?! Its an amazing machine! What a great time to win this machine...winter's coming and i can stay at home ALL day making projects :)
I love that it is so versatile and you can use it with all types of media. I think that it's very unique because you can use it with your designs and your computer. You don't have to buy a ton of cartridges that you don't need.
My mind is racing with all the things that I could make...gift tags, gift boxes, wall art, and love love the temporary tattoos.
I would LOVE a Silhouette. The project I'm most excited about right now is Vinyl decals.
I have been drooling over this machine for a while now. I want one so bad! I want to use it for creating titles for my scrapbook layouts but I love the etched glass idea too! So many possibilities! What would you use it for?
I would love to win the Silhouette SD and the adhesive vinyl. It seems like an amazing machine.
The Silhouette machine looks so amazingly awesome! I would love to make etched glass projects and make all of our Christmas presents on time this year! Thank you so much for offering such a great giveaway!
This is the only thing on my Christmas list. I am excited to make some etched glass for friends. Great giveaway!
I am DYING to make cupcake wrappers!
I would use it for making custom apparel and to help keep my labeling addiction fueled! My daughter is already huge into picking out "cute shirts" at two so I know she'd get a kick out of helping to create her own!
The custom apparel transfers are amazing! I'd love to decorate some clothes for my daughter- and probably some for myself!
I would love to use this to make some cute vinyl sayings/decorations to put on the walls in my daughters' bedrooms! So fun!
kris10peterson@gmail.com
Where to start?! The sketching tool could be used in so many ways. The custom apparel could be a lot of fun and cutty vinyl without having to do it commercially would be so cool.
I'd love to do some cute heat transfer projects - what a great tool! So awesome!
LOVE THIS MACHINE!!
I think I'd start with some vinyl in my girls' room, then move on to labeling, then paper crafts...endless possibilities!
kristenlyn.morrison@gmail.com
I would love to try it for customizing clothes and I'm curious to see what it could do for vinyl
This is too cool! I'd totally personalize a card or a present. I love your idea with the Happy Birthday tag. Cool!!
I would decorate all our plain t-shirts. Then I would etch tons of jars.
i want to etch on glass!!
OMG I just bought an old door with big glass panes in it to block my dogs from going in my garden. I have been itching to find a way to decorate it. Etching the glass with some design would be perfect! Also gift tags for Christmas!! I love it!!!!
oh my goodness. i want to make custom apparel! i love making personalized onesies for the new babies in my life and i would love to use this machine for that!
Wow! Amazing Giveaway!! I'd love to use this machine for scrapbooking, cardmaking and vinyl decor on walls! Thanks for sharing this opportunity!
I have been wanting this machine forever! My baby girl is going to be 1 on Christmas and must make cards, labels, decor for her party with this machine~
I would love to make so many things with this! I'm really loving the appliques, paper crafts, and glass etching ideas. ::swoon::
I love your gift tag! I'm dying to get my hands on one of these ... I really want to make some vinyls for some project ideas I have.
I'm dying to try some vinyl.
I love a good party and there are so many things I could use this for to help with the decor: cupcake liners, banners, personalized tableware and favors. So many ideas!
how in the world does one choose?!! i think if i had to pick a project to start with it would be gift tags. they are perfectly darling!! i should hang out with my family and friends now, because if i win the silhouette i am sure to be in my craft room for months to come!
i would love to use it for scrapbooking!
great giveaway!
I really want to try the etched glass. I think that is a really fun feature.
I can't think of a project I don't want to try! I would love to label everything, heat transfer cute onesies, vinyl, scrapbooking! Man, these machines are AWESOME!!
I would love to try customizing some T-shirts. Thanks for the chance to win!
I would love to use it for vinyls and also Christmas cards!
I have been dying to get one of these machines! :) I would definitely start by making some etched glass projects.. on personalized wine glasses for my mom and dad's 30th anniversary to start! Love this site and great giveaway!!
I would us it for the fabric projects. I'm starting a business offering handmade items to help traveling music therapists. I'd love to be able to customize each project for my clients.
Wow - I would use this machine to decorate, applique, adn much much more
I would love to try some of the vinyl decor stuff. I have spent so much money on buying it; it would be nice to be able to create my own!
I would really enjoy making vinyl wall art for my home.
I would start with some heat transfer projects and then I would do some vinyl projects and then some paper project and then....my head is spinning with all the possibilities!

nickelly_p@msn.com
Wow! I would love to have it just for the fonts for my scrapbook pages!
We're moving soon and i'd love to make some custom vinyl wall pieces.
I would love love to try the heat transfers and the glass etching.....and everything else this wonderful machine does. I'm dying to win one.
I would make wall decorations for my baby's nursery. I'm due in December and she'll be my first. I, of course, want to have the cutest nursery in the world and I'm pretty sure custom vinyl decorations could help with that. I'd probably end up going a little crazy, but it's okay to go a little bit over the top for a little girl's nursery, right?
I would love to be able to make shirts for my kids using the heat transfer material. LOVE this product. The fact that you can connect to a computer with it makes it that much even better. :)
i would LOVE to use it to make fall decorations with paper and vinyl!
I love the vinyl art! I have always wanted to make my own.
I'm so excited about this product! I started a blog just to comment on this post!! (I was planning to anyways, this just pushed me to start it tonight!) I made my daughter some bedazzled shoes and this would be perfect to add more details on the sides!! I also make some awesome applique onesies and I can't imagine all the cute things I could cut out with this thing!! (check out the shoes on my blog!)
Oooh, I would LOVE one of these! First I would cut vinyl to make stencils for painted t-shirts (SO much easier than hand-cutting freezer paper) and then... cards? glass etching? labels? Wow. I am drooling now.
I would LOVE this for appliques, vinyl decor, and paper crafts. I think this would be one of those things you can do endless things with! So fun!
lkjohnson_27@hotmail.com
Thanks so much!
I would want to try to do something with the Vinyl
lifeasalee@gmail.com
Oh how I would love to win this! I have been crushin' on them for a long time now. I think the answer is...What wouldn't I make with them? I want to try etching, add some monograms to things, heat transfer, cut out appliques, etc...I've got a whole list of projects!
OH! I want it soooooooooo much !!!!
I would try everything! starting with cards, moving to Scrapbook Pages, then some Glass Etched and on and on and on....
Please - make me happy !!!! :-)
Thank you...
I would use the heat transfers to make t-shirts for my son's new Eagle Scout Frat. They have no money and want t-shirts like the other frats. Thanks for hosting.
I've been reeeaaaallllllyyyy wanting to do some vinyl projects around the house for organization.
I LOVE the wall vinyls - I've always wanted a vinyl, but to be able to make my own?? Wowza!
Wowie zowie, I'd love to try the vinyl wall decals!!!
I love all things vinyl so I would love to get my hands on this puppy :) What an awesome giveaway.
lindsaynesler@gmail.com
I would love to try the iron on transfers! There are so many possibilities.
sassysarahl@hotmail.com
The very first thing I think I would make is a vinyl wall art quote. But I think I would use it mainly for card making.
Oh, EVERYTHING- for sure!!! There are so many things I could do with this machine! I would love to buy one for all the things I could craft with my kids. The kids would love to make themed tattoos. I want to do the screens but the etching of glass would be a new thing to try (not to mention gorgeous). The possibilities are endless. Such a marvelous giveaway. Thank you for such an amazing opportunity to win.
Definitely the vinyl - to jazz up an entryway wall, and as stencils to do some etching I've been dying to try.
I would love to start etching my last name onto my glass baking dishes!
I LOVE the etched glass. I think that would be amazing on the doors of an entertainment center, to hide all of our DVDs.
Love, love!
I would make the most rocking decor for my baby girl's first birthday in November. Invitations, cupcake holders and garland, oh my!
Ah, I would totally do the vinyl decor for this one! I would LOVE to put up some custom quotes on my walls, and painting is a big mess, even with stencils. This would be perfect!!
So hard to choose just one thing but I would absolutely start with some wall vinyl's. Then I would go crazy from their!
Tara lynchduo@gmail.com
I love LOVE LOVE the custom apparel. I didn't know you could do that! I would really go crazy with all my boys clothes.
wall vinyl's, for sure!
I would want to do heat transfer stuff first or etching - my kids would be begging for tattoos!!!!
Yes, yes, yes please!!
I'd make temporary tattoos, t-shirts, holiday decorations, cards and any other million things that I could!
Thanks for the offer :)
What an awesome giveaway! I would probably use it the most to scrapbook, but I am dying to try the etched glass projects. I think they would make beautiful Christmas gifts!
I would make some vinyl decorations for the nursery I am putting together. Also I know I would use it in card-making.
I like the metallic sketch pen packs!
HOLY COW! I haven't ever seen this many comments about a post!!! I kept looking at the photo hint y'all gave the other day and was trying to figure out what it was... etching cream, icing, and couldn't figure the last bottle? I have never heard of Silhouette but WOW this machine is awesome! I would be making gift tags for everything! Jacinda you are one lucky girl and have such a great bestie! Oh and I love that Martha Stewart print too. I bought a butt load of it on sale at Michael's a few years back in a pinky-peach and another in a minty-green. First time leaving a comment but have been following for at least 6 months. I tried to comment the other day about the "creepy baby" blanket because I almost died laughing but my computer was not cooperating. Love Prudent Baby!
I can't wait to use it to make cute labels for everything. I am an organizing freak and this would be soooo much cuter than the labels made from my label maker. And that is just the beginning...too many fun projects are popping into my head!
I am in love with these machines. My first project would be to make some wall vinyls for our home (we're renters, so it's an easy way to spruce things up).
I would totally use this to make cute shirts for my family.
If I won one of these babies, I would start by adding some more detailed cutting work to the cards I make already. Right now I am limited to what I can do with my own hands and a pair of scissors. I'd also love to make my own cupcake wrappers!
would love to try the pillow boxes & custom apparel projects..neat ideas!!
I would really love to use the heat transfer material to make some super cute shirts for my kids.
Heat transfers!!!! So many cute shirt ideas for my kids!!
I really want to make some custom apparel. I have about a dozen babies I need to make things for!!

The first thing I would make would be a fun party favor, cupcake or cake topper for my Grandma's 90th birthday party. I've purchased a few things for the celebration from others (who've probably used this machine to design what I'v purchased.) Now I want a turn to try. And I can't think of a better person to try to design something for the first time than my Grandma!
