GIVEAWAY: SILHOUETTE DIGITAL CUTTING TOOL!!
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS CONCLUDED. A WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCE ON FRIDAY, OCT 1, 2010. THANKS EVERYONE! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!
We are very excited! We have a Silhouette Digital Cutting Machine to give away to one lucky Prudent Baby reader! I've noticed these cutting machines before but never thought they were for me because I'm not a scrapbooker. But when the ladies at How Does She? contacted us on Silhouette's behalf about doing a giveaway and promised a Silhouette for us (well, one of us, thanks Jaime!) and a Silhouette for you (well, one of you) how could we say no?!? If I didn't like it... I could just send it back and never speak of it again. Well, let me tell you, I like it. I like it very much. And I've only just begun!
So far, my projects are simple, using the templates that come with the starter kit, but I'm totally smitten and ready to try more! Maybe even some scrapbooking!
Here is a gift tag that I made with some cardstock!
And here is a little pillow-box that I made with more of my favorite Martha Stewart Craft Paper
And then just to try something new, I did this spoooooky spiderweb window-cling in adhesive vinyl. Clare has already requested an entire Halloween scene in her bedroom windows!
Click here to find out how to enter and for two lovely offers from Silhouette!
The Giveaway includes:
A Silhouette Machine (a $299.99 value)
Plus...
• Software for Windows XP/Vista, Mac• Power cable, USB cable
• 2 Cutting mats (one for thick media, one for thin media)
• One cutting blade
• $10 gift card to the Silhouette Online Store
To keep this fun and exciting we are going to announce a new way to enter each day until the giveaway ends on September 30th!
It's Thursday and the last day to enter for the chance to win. Just click on a few of our sponsors and/or advertisers sites and report back with something exciting that you find.... A product you can't live without? A hilarious post? A great grocery store coupon? Whatev's, let's just show them some love!
Click on up to 2 links and leave a separate comment for each! Thanks!
The winner must be in the USA and only one winner per household.
International readers, you know we love you!
The fine folks at Silhouette have also come up with two unbelievable package deals for Prudent Baby readers, but you must act fast...
Visit the Silhouette site, click shop, place the Silhouette SD in your basket, enter the discount code "BABY" at checkout and all discounts and freebies will show up in the basket

«Oldest ‹Older 2401 – 2600 of 2645 Newer› Newest»
I looked at I Cook With My Kid and would love to try some homemade salsa. My kid isn't big enough to help cook yet but he loves to sit in his high chair and watch while I cook.
Just visitied fabricworm.com and this could be trouble!! I love all of the options. I really can't just pick one fabric I like best. They all rock.
LOVE Cooking with My Kid Blog! Chips and Salsa are one of our favorite snacks, so the homemade chips and salsa will be something my son and I will make together :)
http://www.cookingwithmykid.com/recipes/snack-time-homemade-chips-salsa/
i visited the fabricworm site and really need/love/covet their oilcloth. should purchase immediately so i can make the oilcloth changing pad!
ummm hi! i visited hostess with the mostess and really loved that they are giving away $100 of stuff. fits in my budget!
Everything about this is awesome but I love the cupcake wrappers I would go to town using those
Ooooo! One Pretty Thing has so many amazing DIY's! LOVE it!
http://www.oneprettything.com/
I LOVE one pretty thing. It is so nice that someone takes the time to link up such great crafts.
emilyannwilson@hotmial.com
I can't wait to get some cupcake liners from bake it pretty!
I think I would decorate a million onsies and give them to all the babies I know! How fun!!!
jkrumtinger@hotmail.com
Fabricworm rocks! I love to visit the site and lust after the fabric. I really like the fact that they have so many gender neutral fabrics in neat patterns/colors that I can use for projects for my son!
I checked out Cooking with my Kid and I love that s'mores are her favorite dessert, too! Makes me want to fire up the fire pit again soon.
And what can I say about Fabricworm other than, fabric lust!
I love the roundups at One Pretty Thing. It's great that she goes out and finds all the cute projects for me to make. :)
I went to smile and wave today, and loved the little kitchen! I really want to get rid of my fancy play plastic kitchen that their grandparents bought them and make my own!
I must have the red and white polka dot cupcake baking cups (or liners-whatever you call them) from Bake it Pretty. I'm planning a Minnie Miuse birthday for my baby girl's big number 1 in December.
I love the bibs on pretty and preppy! Those are my fav!
I love the cute halloween cookies on Hostess with the Mostess! I think I may go try and make some :)
I love the bridget&lucy site! I'm going to be picking up a few patterns from them for sure - especially the ruffle joy skirt...so cute!
I absolutely LOVE the pretty bottle openers from Pretty and Preppy! What a great site.
Back from Smile and Wave. I LOVE baby Ruby's organized wardrobe. It makes me want to get the junk out of my baby girl's closet (and refill it with much prettier junk). Also, the paper airplane garland is too cute. If I have a son, he's getting one (or maybe I'll make pink ones for my baby girl- yep, I uphold traditional gender stereotypes).
The Japanese fabric bundles from Fabricworm are amazing! Thanks for introducing me to the site!
Wow you have a lot of great sponsors. Hostess with the Mostess has a post about a Rocket & Aliens birthday that would be perfect for my son's 6th birthday that is coming up. And of course, Make it Pretty has some AWESOME decorating candies that are a must, must for my holiday baking. Glad you had me look. Now I do not have to drive 80 miles to the nearest baking supply store! :)
I like all the projecjts on One Pretty Thing
getoverit2090[at]hotmail[dot]com
I've watched "Bake it Pretty" site forever! I am always trying to find a party to throw so I can buy those products! they are adorable!
I'm a big fan of your sponsor FabricWorm - great fabrics and great service. I'm particularly loving the Kokka French Sewing Cheater cloth she has right now.
I think "cooking with my kid" will become a favorite too..I have a picky one, and they have some great ideas!
I checked out your sponsor Bake It Pretty and I love their packaging supplies!
I could totally comment about One Pretty Thing (old fave) or Fabric Worm (addiction much?) but I checked out Clickin Mom as well and wow, I think this may be exactly the thing I am looking for. My Birthday/Christmas wish is for a Digital SLR camera and I think a community of Moms getting together to share their tips, tricks and tribulations is just the sort of community I want to belong to!
Just got a cupcake topper idea from One Pretty thing. I'll modify the pinwheels for an upcoming birthday party. sweet.
The pattern collections on fabricworm are excellent. Such great inspiration.
LOVE this collection of fat quarters at Fabric Worm! Perfect for a kid's quilt.

Well, I just went over to Cooking with My Kid and was a little jealous of the dinner she made her husband for his birthday. My husband's birthday was yesterday and I had huge plans for this great dinner when he got home from work. Instead, my 11 month old is getting like 5 teeth at once and I'm not getting anything done around the house, let alone a nice dinner, plus my husband went to lunch with a friend which left him stuffed until this morning, and he worked until midnight so I didn't even see him. Now I'm just sitting here stewing in jealousy...okay, not really. I loved the chocolate waffle dessert. My husband always makes me waffles and I think I'll make this for him on his "make-up" birthday dinner :)
I love Fabricworm's Mod Green Pod Free To Grow Chain Dot Summer organic fabric!
The Minted Design Challenge is a great idea to showcase amazing artists!

As a fabric fiend, I obviously couldn't pass up looking at "fabricworm". I've been daydreaming about finding the time to make my second quilt, so I drooled over their bundles. I love (WANT) the Anthology Fabrics Folk Life Summer Sunset and Country Picnic bundle and really like the sold out Daiwabo Japan Notus Springtime Dawn.
To be honest, since we're talking fabric, I could probably spend the whole day picking bundles. :)

Anytime I check out {Bake it Pretty} I am inspired to be a better baker! After looking through their latest baking items...I'm thinking I need to be making some cute Halloween cookies. Now to get my 2 1/2 year old to take a nap so I can PLAY!!
Crossing my fingers...for the nap, and the Silhouette!
I love to visit SO FAWNED (which I found through your site). I know she has lot of super cute pics and posts but my favorite are of her carrying her big baby in the sling and nursing her baby. I nursed my son until he was almost 2 years old so its nice to see pics of other mommas doing the same <3
Thanks so much for pointing me towards fabricworm! I have a vintage step stool that we use as a high chair and the vinyl has a massive rip. Looks like fabricworm has just what I am looking for to recover that baby. Awesome!
I love the packaging materials at Bake it Pretty. How did I not know about them?!?!
Thanks for the giveaway.
hilarypeterson@gmail.com
Your elephant crayns so inspired me that I have been wanting to make some ever since. Bake it pretty has the greatest molds. I can't wait to get melty:)
Gotta love oneprettything.com. I originally found them through your site months ago, and now I visit just about every day. I love how everything is sorted into categories. Yay for sorting!

I love fabricworm, love the keiki wee woodland flannel. The designs are fabulous.
I am obsessed with Fabric Worm. Ever since I discovered it on your blog I've been eying the fabrics. I haven't made a purchase yet, but I think it's time!
On the Pretty and Preppy site I would take one of anything in the strawberry fields collection. It is absolutely fabulous.
I'm in love with all the fun fabric patterns at Fabricworm. I could spend a fortune there!!!
One Pretty Thing is awesome! I love how the projects are categorized. They have them by theme and by recipient. I truly love it. It is such a helpful site. Between Prudent Baby and One Pretty Thing, I will have plenty of projects to fill my time that would otherwise be filled with you know...laundry, dishes, making dinner....
Wow! Fabricworm could prove to be very addictive! Shopping for fabric without leaving the house?!? Especially in the winter!!!
I love the adorable bibs and burp cloths at Pretty Preppy. What a fun site!!!
I can't wait to find some new-to-me music on Mix Tape! My ipod list is getting a bit repetitive!
I need some gorgeous cupcake wrappers from Bake it Pretty. Or if I win I could make my own too!!
I absolutely love to shop online at Bake It Pretty. I have never heard of it before visiting Prudent Baby, but I love to check out the funky cookie cutters! Seriously, where else are you going to find a sewing machine or a hatchet?? So fun!!
Well, I don't have kids (yet) - but I LOVE your site! I have made a few projects for myself (duvet - http://www.prudentbaby.com/2010/05/diy-duvet-cover-tutorial.html) and for my friend's baby (10 minute onesie dress - http://www.prudentbaby.com/2010/03/10-minute-onesie-dress-easiest-dress.html). The projects have turned out so fantastic that I have inspired my friends to become followers of your blogs! We are now working together to improve our sewing skills as we tackle your new projects. We are even taking ideas from your bday posts as well as Hostess with the Mostest blog (http://www.hostessblog.com/)to put together a really cute 1st birthday party for my friend's daughter. What I really want to get across is that this site has brought friends closer and inspired us to get out of our comfort zone and be creative! Thank you Prudent Baby!
Checking out your sponsers made me look at "clickin moms" I'm going to have to do a little more research there. :)
And maybe I sound like a broken record, just echoing what everyone else said, but who doesn't love FabricWorm? I found her when I was pregnant last year and needed a ton of fabric to sew everything in my sweet little bird's room. My favorite are her quilt bundles. I love the colors and patterns she puts together and have bought more than a few of those bundles. (Still yet to actually finish a quilt from them, though, but don't tell my husband). Loves ya!
"I cook with my Kid" really has inspired me to cook with my three year old. I loved the lunch box ideas she posted. I've recently been trying to include my little girl in the kitchen.
I love the examples of what you can do to tennis shoes! My kids love wearing canvas shoes like this, and it would be amazing to customize them w/out the hours of tracing and cutting!
I love everything at Bake It Pretty. I have been wanting to try my hand at using the candy moulds, so that would be my first choice.
I love the fabric at Fabricworm! I need to use up some of the stuff I have lying around and make room for some new cute. Love the Heather Ross Far Far Away Sleeping Beauty fabric. Anything with redheads on it catches my eye, as my little girl is a ginger. So cute!
I'm in love with the childrens fabric from fabricworm, this was my first time visiting their site. So cute!
Checked out Bridget&Lucy..love the Ruffle Joy Skirt! Even cooler that they have ready-to-sew kits available!
i'm really excited about learning more about your sponsor FabricWorm - their stuff looks awesome! and those skirts from bridget and lucy are absolutely adorable...i can think of so many friends who have girls who would LOVE those!

I love fabric worm!
I love looking to see what kinds of unique fabrics they have... ::cough cough:: becuase in my neck of the woods the fabric stores have a very minimal selection!
Whoo hoo for fabric worm!
When I went clicking around I also found "Smile + Wave"! Such a creative wonderful sense of vintage things! I love all of the things she collects .... hence the reason I've banned myself from all antique stores, I would bring everything home! Love her blog - its certainly being bookmarked!
I went to fabricworm and found some cute Japanese ballerina fabric.
blessed.mama4 at yahoo.com

And from Mix Tape, I found a cute website - thxthxthx. Nice to see some different things once in awhile instead of just visiting the sites I always visit! :)
Did you know you can earn your degree ONLINE through Capella University? Yeah, I knew too. But I clicked on the ad anyway, just so they could tell me all about it. Smile and Wave, Bridget and Lulu and Mix Tape do not, as far as I could tell, offer online degree programs. But I still took a click through anyway. Good stuff.
love, love, love hostess with the mostess! I am totally going to do the blue and berries for my christmas colors this year!
I love the patterns at bridget and lucy!!!! i hope i am able to do something like that soon :)
I would love love love a silhouette! I love scrapbooking, cardmaking and making fun custom t-shirts. A silhouette would make all of this fun and easy! Thanks for the give-a-way!

Oh my. I clicked on Cooking with My Kid and the first post I saw was a chocolate waffle sundae. It looks so delicious! It probably doesn't help that it's almost dinner time and my stomach is rumbling!
I cruised over to Cooking with My Kid - because the other day my husband told me that I need to pick up more cooking skills so I can teach my two year old how to cook. *Seriously... no pressure here. yea, right... bwhahaha!* Anyway - hopped over to their site - so cool! What a fantastic site! Loved the Easy Cheats (well of course I would - coming from the girl that apparently needs help to teach a two year old to cook!) and the Activities Tips & Tricks rocked too - who knew there was a mini whisk for kids - or the amazing donut pan - or even cuter - the mini donut pan! The recipes are awesome too - I am going to make some of those crunchy chick peas for a snack this afternoon! I am feeling like a new woman now - loved checking out their site. Complete revelation for me how to make cooking fun again!
I visited a few sited but fell in love with a few posts over at so fawned- I found a few that were written so lovingly about little ones, it made me tear up a bit thinking back to how mine have grown.... so fast....

ashleewright07(at)gmail(dot)com
Just hit up Mix Tape blog and followed the link the http://thxthxthx.com/ (GREAT stuff, Ladies! Thanks!)
Armour Etch makes me laugh whenever I think of it.
My husband had a few minor scratches on his glasses that were bothering him, so instead of buying new lenses, we used our favorite personal consultant Google, which told us to use Armor Etc...h.
What seemed like several hundred coats and polishes later, the glasses were completely destroyed. I am sure it was no fault of the Armor Etch but the person (me) that applied it so over-zealously. The good husband tried to wear them regardless, but they were left with such a film that you couldn't even see his eyes.
I just visited the Cooking with my Kid site. The spinach pie and chocolate waffle dessert look delicious!
I love that you can search by fabric choice on prettyandpreppy.com. The fabrics are lovely!
How awesome is cooking with my kid?! I have to try out some of these recipes.
I lOVE those bridget&lucy skirts! But i want this silhouette!! :)
I want a pattern from Bridget & Lucy for my baby girl!! And I would love a silhouette machine!!
I can't wait to start learning the tutorials from clickin moms!
I would love to win a Silhouette!!! I would use it to make all sort of special custom cards for family and friends. I would love to make vinyl wall art to decorate my home. Then I would use it to finish my son's baby book. Too much fun!
Great sponsors too! I had fun checking out their sites. :)
I just checked out "Smile and Wave"'s blog -- after the initial awe over the lovely background and beautifully photographed goodies, I was able to read through. Great stuff! Seriously, guys, head over and check it out!
Aside from adding a few new projects on my "to-do" list, I also have a restored love for vintage oddities like typewriters. Don't believe me that typewriters and pearls and vintage books and secretary glasses are the bees knees? Check out how pretty they are on desks and in art on this blog.
I'm having fun checking out all your sponsors. Right now, I'm loving I Cook with My Kid. :) A Silhouette would even make cooking with kids extra special and fun...I'm thinking all kinds of table decor and custom boxes to store special snacks and holiday treats.
love love love MINTED. How cute are her designs...sigh...bookmarked! and saving pennies now for future birth announcements! :)
Love the post over at Mix Tape regarding writing one thank you note a day; some big, some small.
Here's a good one the blogger shared:
"Dear People that come over to my house,
Thank you for your visits. Without them, I would never clean my bathroom."
This made me crack up! Seriously, are there people out there that clean their bathrooms independently, without preparing for a house guest? And are these people willing to come clean mine?
oooohhh...okay, fabricworm is the greatest. her selection is always TOO tempting...
I just checked out Hostess with the mostess. It has some great ideas. I think Im going to have to start with the Halloween cookies. So cute!
I have been drooling over the Silhouette for a while now... oh, there is SO much I'd love to do. I'd probably start with some papercrafts.. and my boys would LOVE the heat transfer capabilities and the temporary tattoos!
I want to use it for christmas presents, birthday parties, wall vinyl. Ahhhh, so much fun stuff!!!!!
Sponsors - Bake it Pretty
I am actually going to place an order for some of the chocolate molds they have! The buttons would be perfect - a am planning a ball/everything round first birthday party for our daughter. I love buttons and chocolate - what could be better than chocolate buttons? :D
