What do you think?
Dear readers of good taste and sophistication; I need your help.
I'm trying to decide which fabric to use for a new set of cloth napkins. My kitchen is white with hints of yellow, and the bulk of my dishes are red. Mmmmmm, pretty combination, not really. So here are my two options:
A: Anna Maria Horner Small Gathering Citrus
B: Alexander Henry Natura Birdsong Bright
Help me out! Which should I do? Please leave a comment!
Here is the kitchen in question. Note the Halloween candy, indicating the last time it was clean enough to photograph.

Definitely A!!!! No question.
A!
ha, how funny -- i pick B!! but they're both SUPER cute (as is your kitchen -- love the stools!).
A
A! Love it.
I say B, it has nice, bold colors and a clean white background. A is very pretty, but it makes me think of Christmas!
But, judging by the proportion of the picture each fabric gets in your photograph, I'd say you've already made up your mind. :)
B!
You really couldn't go wrong with either, but I'd pick A.
I would pick A, though they are both beautiful. Maybe you could do both and change them out for different seasons! That is what I usually do, as I always need a fresh new start once in a while.
A. Hands down. And BEAUTIFUL kitchen, by the way.
B! To offset the yellow you already have in your bigger pieces like the stools and kitchen aid. A would be too match matchy, I think. Byoootiful kitchen btw.
I also pick A - your kitchen has a lot of white and choice B has a lot of white. A is both complimentary and stands out.
B!
Definitely B for me
Too much yellow on A
White & a little bit of colours on B surely would accentuate your kitchen
A! A! A!
i like citrus - A. perfect for a summer spruce up!
B! You probably shouldn't have asked! ;)
I agree that B is the better choice--it feels fresh and complements the bowls and your kitchen. The yellow in A feels a bit muddier somehow and while your kitchen does have a lot of white (mine does, too, I love it!) the white of the fabric has enough variation and brightness in it to be different enough. Or why not just make both napkins??
Just because I am practical, I would go with A. that white would show stains. I think the other would make a great table runner however. What great taste in fabric!
I'm a huge Anna Maria fan and I guess that makes me biased. I vote A.
Definitely B. A would make everythng too yellow.
My vote goes to B or just make both sets! :)
I vote A. I have something similar to B in my kitchen and really want to change it! I liked it at first but after just a little while it just doesn't make me smile.
I like choice B better overall, but think that A would stand out better in your kitchen. Great fabrics!
I'd choose B for sure. I'm not positive the yellow in A compliments the other yellow pieces in your kitchen. :)
Your kitchen is gorgeous! I like B better but A might hide stains better.
I love B but I love your kitchen ten times more!!!!
i say both… switch them out seasonally or whenever you feel like it! A looks more fall/wintery and B looks more spring/summery :)
I say B.
the white background of the print makes the colors pop!
I like B the best! :)
definitely B....with all the white in your kitchen B just seems to match your style more and the dishes will pop off of that more verses yellow bowls on yellow.
I like B best too. It's bit less matchy. (I love your yellow kitchenaid! I couldn't decide which colour, and ended up getting the white one).
I think I have a photo of your kitchen in my "future home" file! I think the first one is more sophisticated, and the 2nd more fun...and well bright like it says ;)
A! And can I have your kitchen please? I used to have painted yellow barstools too! And your mixer makes me want to trade up my red one- I've never seen a yellow one! :) good luck with this very difficult decision ;)
Both! :) But if you have to pick only one, I would choose B. It's more cheerful.
A
Has to be B
Definitely go with B. I am also reminded of Christmas when I see A!! I think A is too dark to be sitting on your countertop. They don't complement each other well. A would just get lost on them whereas B would 'pop'.
definitely B - it seems to match everything and it's bright :)
I vote B. The yellow in A looks a little greenish which I don't like but I LOVE B.
I love the fabric on the left. But for your kitchen, I think B, the white one would be a lot better for your decor. Good luck. They are both fabulous.
well, A is a lot more sophisticated. A LOTE MORE but I personally love B because its more fun. So depends on what look you are looking for?
I vote for B!! I love the colors and the playfulness, and who says that can't be sophisticated?
love your kitchen first of all. and second... first i totally thought B and then i looked a little longer and now i'm going with the vintagey looking A!
I love B! It is much cheerier!
A - you will never be sorry about choosing an Anna Maria- wherever you put her fabric it seems like she becomes present in that room. I would like Anna Maria in my kitchen!
A- it's more of a bold choice IMO. Since you have such a clean looking kitchen, you need something a little busier, I think.
First of all, your kitchen is gorgeous! With that being said, I prefer the Alexander Henry fabric.
If I were to pick from the first picture, definitely A. When you add the picture of the entire kitchen, B makes more sense. The more graphic nature of the print works with the lines in your kitchen, I think.
I pick the Alexander Henry. And your kitchen is gorgeous
A all the way!
Definitely the citrus.
B!
Both fabrics are so very different! I think "B" would look great, especially for this time of the year. Which do you like best???
All about selection B.
I have to go with B, since it's the same fabric I just used on my apron!
http://20littlethings.blogspot.com/2010/05/apron.html
B for sure. It's a nice bright summer print!
I would go with B- i think it complements the style of your kitchen better!
I love A for everything, but I think that B would be a great option for a breakfast or brunch.
A for the fall/winter months and B for the spring/summer months :)
I adore A, but think that B compliments the kitchen better. Good luck with deciding if the peanute gallery is actually helpful, though. :^)
annia maria all the way!
I think A is rich and inviting--a perfect mealtime combination. Would it be overpowering in your white kitchen? Mmmm... I don't think so. I like B, too, especially with all the white in your kitchen. Are all of these opinions getting confusing? Hehe. I guess it goes to show that you've got good taste and will do well with either option.
I Love B: Alexander Henry Natura Birdsong Bright. I think the yellow in it is a better match to the other yellow accents in your kitchen, it has other gorgeous colours if you want to get playful with flowers and serving dishes. I also like the pattern better. I am also going to steal you tiled back splash pattern for my upcoming renos!
Hee hee hee...I say use them both and make two sets! Then you can use whatever set suits your mood for the day.
i think the fabric with white base is really good
defintely the Alexander Henry fabric!
I love both, but I think the Alexander Henry would be best:~)
definitely B. it's so whimsical!
I am very much a lurker, and I totally pick B on this one...
I would say B.
but you could always do a stack of each!
B!!!! :)
I like the Alexander Henry better...very Spring/Summer!
B: Alexander Henry Natura Birdsong Bright
I like A. Both are great, but you have young children and B will show dirt more easily.
I think A. Both are great but B has too much white for your already white pallet. I think the yellow in A gives you a pop of color.
Both Totally Both!! So you can switch it up every now and then. What will you do when one set is dirty and you need to wipe your mouth or spill some milk.
Did I not just post a tutorial for reversible placemats? oh, wait, you want napkins. i guess i need to know what color your placemats are!
Love your kitchen! Beautiful! I would definitely say B love the bright vibrant colors. I think it would go great with the white kitchen.
A for everyday. B if you want something more formal. Super cute kitchen by the way!
A is my vote. I think it's more "grown-up" and will transition well into the fall and winter seasons rather than the more summery B.
go with B .. it's more you! plus it pops more!
totally B :)
Make both :) You can never have too many cloth napkins, particularly with kiddos. When you want a more mod/streamlined look you can use B, and when you want a bit more color pop and warmth you can use A!
Birdsong Bright - no question for me!
We actually have a toy made from the (A) fabric! So I'll have to vote for that one ;)
Both are superb :)
Maybe you can match them with some solid colors?
I'm torn... at just I thought B, but A is quite nice as well - what did you choose??
I like B.. more clean, in my opinion atleast.. thought I do love anna maria's fabric line :)
