FABRIC FRIDAY
I am completely in love with this Circa 52, Cars Natural fabric by Monaluna. The wheels were turning in my head as soon as I saw these 1950s classic cars speeding across the organic cotton. My dream would be to own each one of these vehicles during my lifetime. I think I'd start with the Volkswagon Bus, go big or go home.
To enter for a chance to win one yard of Monaluna Circa 52, Organic Cotton, Cars Natural tell us if you could live in any decade which would it be. I think mine would be the 1920s. I love the finger waves, drop waist dresses, and jazzy music. I think I've been watching too much Boardwalk Empire. Leave your comment anytime between now and Friday, December 9th. Tweet, Stumble, or share on Facebook and leave another comment letting us know. Come back every day for new entries. We'll randomly select a winner and announce right here next Friday.

Oh, I would totally go for the 70s. I am a total hippy at heart. Can you dig it?
i want i want! super cute fabric.
I'd probably go for the 70's, too. I was born in the 70's, but it'd be fun to live them and be aware of it!
Though I admire Laura Ingalls and think it would be neat to be a pioneer, in reality I think I'm more of a late 60s kind of girl! I enjoy hearing about a time of change and people caring about causes.
I would say the 50's. I kinda dig the whole chivalry thing that is missing now. I want a guy to open doors for me and comment on my nice caboose. Don't get me wrong- I love that women can do whatever they want now!! (Girl Power!) But I think that since the Feminism movement, guys feel like they don't have to try as much and that's saddening. So- definitely, the fifties. BTW, raising my boys to treat women as equals and still be gentlemen. :) I'm bring chivalry back!
I think I'd go for the 20's too. I would love to wear flapper dresses and hang out in jazz clubs all night!
I would pick the 20s too. There's something alluring about women going against societal expectations, wearing fringed dresses and sipping liquor in dimly lit bars.
oh WOW. So cute. I have two boys and I LOVE making them things;)
early 90's loved that time
i would choose the 40's or 50's :D i love i idea of wearing a hat & gloves when you go out :)
I also have soft spot for the 20's
I have a soft spot for the 40's. .... but I dig this crazy fabric! I adore that orange bus in the fabric and in my dreams I'm driving around the European countryside in one at this very moment! hahahha
Definitely the 40's. Love the style of clothing, the classic looks & I even like a little of the 40's music. Thank you for the giveaway.

I would choose to live in the same year I was born, because I would miss out on all the technology if I lived in an earlier time period.
I would have loved the 70's great rock music right into disco!
I think I would like to the live in the 1950's when my parents were born and see how life was different then.
Turn of the century in Paris.
I would want to live in the 60's or 70's I love the cars back then. Love them so much I have a 67 nova. I also love the music from that time! Pick me for the fabric!!
So tough because there are so many! But the most recent time period I would pick would be the late 1950's/early 1960's because I love the wiggle dresses and how curves were totally embraced. And the fact that even when you dressed casually, you looked polished.
The early 90's- loved that time . Music especially.
I would love that fabric for my litte boy! I would love to either live in the Regency era (Give me Pemberly and Mr. Darcy) or the 50's I'd be the house wife with dinner on the table and the cute outfits with matching hats!

Well, shoot, I love the clothes of the 50s and 60s, but the inequality of women would be a big bummer. I guess if I didn't know any better it'd be okay. And the idea that back then your kids could just play outside with relatively no supervision is cool too.
Oh, so hard to decide! Probably the 70's, I have the hair for it. :)
I loved the fashion of the 1940's. The hair the clothes, all of it! :)
I think I would have to go for the 40's or 50's. I love the 20's for a lot of the same reasons you listed, but I would NEVER want to live through the 30's (see, I overthink these things). I love the women's lib that was necessary in the 40's while the country was at war, but I also LOVE the uber-feminine fashions that came out in the 50's as a reaction to the previous decade.
i'd go for the 60's. than my mom and i could hang out in high school and get into trouble together. :-*
I think I'd pick the Regency era, but only if I could be a lady with a house in town and another in the country. If I had to be a penniless orphan, I don't think I'd enjoy it.
I'd pick the 60's!
How about the 50's just so I could have learned all the cool dance moves!
I would absolutely live in the 50s..
after getting hooked on mad men for awhile, i'd love the clothes of the 60's, with the freedom & music of the 70's.
Definitely the 50's!
The 50s style & high-class lifestyle... :) mmmm.
I'd have to say the 60's when our country had much higher standards than we do now.(I was going to say the 50's but I have no memory of that time since I was born in '59 but I do remember the 60's) When someone gave their word, you could trust in that. We could leave our homes for hours or days and not have to lock our doors because no one was going to come in and steal all our things. Now we leave a garage door open for two hours and you can have things stolen. Plus the slower pace in life and it's when the holidays meant something to everyone, not just those who are still hanging on to the true meaning and not the commercialism they've become now.
I would have to choose either the 1950's or 60's, because I am in love with the architecture and furnishings!
50s because the clothing style was so freaking awesome.
Hm, I like it right now, so the 10's! :D
I would live in the future!! Haha... How about.... 200 years from now.
I love the thirties. Less wild than the twenties, but without the war of the forties. I could totally rock some flour sack couture!
When I was little I always dreamed of living on the frontier ala little house on the prairie. But now I know I'd miss indoor plumbing! -sharon M

I'd pick the 1960's, I love mod, retro things!
I'd go with the 70s - they sounded like such fun!
I'd choose the sixties because I did a little of it way back and it was so fun - I'd love to try it again.
I've always wanted to live in the Pioneer times. I know, I'm an odd bird. But, I've ALWAYS felt that I was born in the wrong era... I should have been Laura Ingalls' best friend. :)
I totally shared this on Facebook...

I think if I had the choice I would love to live in the 50's. I adore the fashion and towards the end of the decade housewives were breaking the mold and making their own rules.
Plus the concept of dinner parties, and always wearing heels and pearls makes housework seem so much more glamorous. :)
Zomg! Twitter share!!!

I love this fabric--it reminds me of my Southern Cal upbringing.
I have a hard time choosing a different decade. I would have hated living in a time before antibiotics and modern medicine. Maybe the 40's, when there was such a strong feeling of community? I would have loved to live in a time when the country was united behind FDR. And my mom was a young teen then; she talked about the simple pleasures she and her friends and family enjoyed. I would have liked to be part of that.
I dont think Id want to live in a decade other than the one I was born in ...but Id sure love to visit the 20's , collect some gorgeous vintage fabric, and then come back to present year..talk about time travel! : D
I'd like to go back to the 1990's - when I was a teenager and live the fun again and do some things a little differently...
I'm boring, I want to stay right where I am! So the 10's :)
Hippy, dippy, trippy me- definately the 70's!
Oh I love the dresses from 1920's, the retro things from the 70's and the music from the 80's!!! And I love those cars on the fabric, so cute!
late 50's to early 60' Awe, the sweet simplicity of post WWII, pre-hippies!
Mine would be 1940. :) I love that question, I always wish I lived in a different decade. lol Thanks for the giveaway!

I think the 50's. I know a lot was expected of women in those days, but women were so creative, resourceful, and they knew how to make ANYTHING!

I think the 1950's. Technology was just starting to make lives easier in the home.
I'm not sure if I would go for the 20's (Love that era too!) or even earlier, sometime in the 1800's. So hard to decide!

I would stick with the present time. I love my gadgets and technological items...especially my digital screen sewing machine. Can you imagine sewing all by hand or pumping the foot crank to sew? It would take forever. I'm too impatient.
Definantly the 60s i di t know ive always felt like i should have been a flower child
I would definitely make my little man a new tie! He's all about the ties:)
I for a long time thought the 60s.. but now I'm thinking 70s.. I love disco and I love the glam!
I definitely could live in the 1900-1910 decade. Honestly I think I could even do pre-1900. I love the style. I am also a huge do-it-yourself fan.
mine would be the 2000s- lame in know. but i really loved this decade, so many good things happened to me! if i had to pick historical, it would be 1900- i saw one century change, i would like to see another!
I'd go for the 1920s so I could be a little bit of a rebel girl, maybe pal around with some gangsters and learn to shoot a tommy gun. ;)
Roaring twenties...that would be a great choice and Regency England, 1811-1820 ish captures my imagination too.
I would definently want to live in the late 50's early 60's!! Mad Men era!! Love love love the women's fashions, think about Jackie Kennedy back then!!!
Lovely fabric. I would go for the 50s. . . great styling of clothing, cars and products. Abundance, but not yet going overboard like later decades.
I always wanted to head back to the time of Laura Ingalls. And I'm totally in love with this fabric for my boy's big boy quilt!
I would have to say the 50s with high hopes of having met my favorite author, Jack Kerouac, or any of the other crazies he followed :)
I would love to relive the 80's. I was born in 81' but I wouldn't really say that I truly lived the free spirit, anything goes, carefree life. I was still into Care Bears.
I would go for the 50s.
I'm always saying I want to be a 50's houseife but I don't really care for cooking or cleaning. Well not when I really don't have time for it.
I'd have to say the 1900's, I'm and old fashioned girl at heart...
I'm going to have to go with the 1920's too I think!
I have tweeted the giveaway
hmmm.. that's a hard one. Maybe the 40's. With swing music and fun dresses. minus the depression and the war of course
I could live in the 70s. I love the mustard yellow and the pea soup green. Flower Power!
I have stumbled upon the giveaway.
