FRIDAY {SURPRISE} PRIZE
It is with great reluctance and a knot in my stomach that I announce this week's surprise prize but before we get to that let's talk about who wins a yard of my (gulp) pom-pom trim! Can you believe that no one has claimed it yet? Will this be the week?
And the winner is Mama Bear...
- I did fear the zipper...until your quick & pretty makeup bag tutorial. I made a bunch of those and have moved on to other zippered bags. I actually look forward to putting in zippers now!
- Jocelyn/Melinda B - my trick is to use zippers that are at least an inch longer than you need. Then you can keep the zipper pull out of the way at all times!
Great tip Mama Bear! You are the Zipper Master! What color pom poms do you want? Go ahead and send us your email address using the contact form and we will send you your prize. Winners have 5 days to contact us before forfeiting their prize to another lucky reader.
Find out next week's Friday Surprise Prize after the jump...
This week we're giving a fat-quarter of my very own Michael Miller, Bonehead Brown from fabricworm. A few of you mentioned this as your favorite fabric of all so I couldn't resist. Step up the comments this week and you could win!
We will pick our favorite next Friday!
XO

I love Michael Miller fabrics!
Whimsical, fun Calaveras dancing on the cloth! I feel like I am transported to a Dia de Los Muertos parade or alter. I would make a Jumper / overall for new 4month old for this upcoming year so he could join in the fun and learn about this cultural "sweetness". Nothing as tasty as a sugar skull:)
I like to use fun fabrics to make stuffed toys and wall decor. They are so easy and simple, but very expensive in the stores. Mind as well do it myself. :)
They look like some kind of cute, funky Pacman guys.
Love the little curly 'staches on them. I would make this into a purse so I can have this cool print all to myself (cue evil laugh).
OMG, totally my fave! My 3yr old daughter is into anything with skulls (a girl after my own heart) she would flip a banana for this!
so unique, i love it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE michael miller!!!!! I also WANT the pom pom trim so BAD to make stuff for my daughter.
So cute and fun!
Love it! Thanks for the amazing giveaways!
This was my fave!! YAY for Prudent Baby and the AWESOME things they do!!
my daughter would love this
Mommy needs a brand new purse. I like to take an old pair of jeans that I just can't part with, and turn them into a handy purse!! This fabric would be a fantastic liner, and matching sun glasses protector and make-up bag....I am in Love with this fabric!!
Michael Miller Fabric is soooooo cute!! I used his Dandy Damask to make my sweet red headed neice a ruffled top and bottem outfit with some of his red and white polka dot fabric for trim!!! It is so cute and she looks absolutley adorable in it!! Love Love Love Micheal Miller!!
I've just recently discovered your blog as I have just recently become a mother - Jack turned 7 weeks yesterday :) I found your blog while searching for DIY EASY baby shoes and am planning on making the recycled jeans shoes you posted last year, they are adorable and look somewhat easy. I'm not a sewer but am looking to start to make things for Jack.
I'm thinking that this material would be super cute as an accent on these, like for the toes with a dark Jean heel, or the heel with Jean toe, the possibilities are endless!
Thanks for your great tutorials, that one was written so clearly that even I think I can do it!
Tracy
What a nice design. love your blog
I'm so excited to have won! I never win stuff!
YAY!
One of my good friends is Obsessed with the day of the dead, She is going through a bad divorce, If i got my hands on this I would make her something cute to cheer her up.
Oh this fabric has my name written ALL OVER IT! I am a physical anthropologist so study bones for a living! Please pretty please.
I love this fabric!! It would make a great make-up bag or summer tote!
THis print reminds me of my grandfather. He was one of a kind and funny looking just like the skulls.
Love it!! Would make a cute make up pouch.
Awesome! This would be great to sew something for my 8 year old son.
I adore MM fabric. I adore skulls...any kind of skull as apparent by my super cute girly skull tattoo! It would make a great wristlet that I could sport around town! Or a head band, or a fabric bin, or a tote, oh man, I could go on and on!
At first I was a little standoff-ish because I would so totally not want this type of fabric! But seeing other skull/dia de los muertos fabric pieces...its starting to grow on me...and this type of design is part of my background. I'd love to. do a quilt for a friend because she likes this type of design
My husband and I both LOVE sugar skull fabrics! And our first child is due in early September, so I have busily making all sorts of goodies for them! (Them since we do not know what we are having yet! How exciting!) But in the meanwhile we are attempting to use a lot of earth tones: browns, blues, oranges, greens.... SO no matter what sex our baby is they will feel right at home!
ps: I absolutely LOVE your blog, and no matter how often I am here spying around, I swear there are always so many things that I have never seen before and have to try! Thank you!!!
What a great fabric!! I have just discovered your website, and am in love. I have a list of projects I want to make! If I won this fabric I would use it to decorate my son's room. He is moving into a "big boy" room and generously giving up the nursery to his new baby brother (due in May)!
very very unique fabric....so much you could do with it!! :)
This is awesome... I have such great ideas for this fabric!
I want a beautiful piece of fabric to call my own!!
I love!
Kisses,
Helckl
