GIVEAWAY: Matryoshka Measuring Cups!
The people in my life know me so well - I got THREE sets of these for Christmas and Hanukkah! I love them so much, I thought I'd share the bounty by hosting a little giveaway.
These Matryoshka Measuring Cups by Fred M include a 3-layer matryoshka, with each side of each doll a different perfect measure to create 6 measuring cups between 1/4 cup and 1 full cup.
They're so cute, you know you want them. As you know, I like to complain about my dislike of baking, but I have seriously been coming up with random things to bake just as an excuse to use them. And of course, Scarlet loves playing with them.
So for this giveaway, tell us what you would like to measure if only you could. I would like to know, if you laid it all out, the yardage of fabric scraps I have tossed. I would also like to know the weight of ruined cookie dough I have thrown away. However, I do not want to know the weight of cookies I have eaten since Thanksgiving.
Leave your comment anytime between now and midnight next Wednesday January 12th. We will randomly select a winner (with a US address) and announce next week. Tweet, stumble, and/or share the giveaway on facebook and leave another comment each time letting us know for an additional entry. Come back every day for new entries. Happy measuring!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 480 Newer› Newest»
I would like to know how many miles I've driven to visit friends and family out-of-state.
I would never really want to know but it would be interesting to see how much food I've thrown out in the last year. Scary.
These measuring cups are adorable. I think they would love a home on my little counter.
ahh so cute!! i totally need new measuring cups to! yunhuiyi@yahoo.com
I'd love to measure the distance between my left hip and my right hip and have it magically divide itself by half.
I would love to measure all the food that gets thrown in the trash because my 2-year old won't eat it. I would probably be scared to find out though. The measuring cups are adorable
I'd like to measure the amount of love I feel for my daughter and my husband, I'm a very lucky girl who is very loved. I'd also like to measure the amount of drool that goes along with a sloppy 18month old kiss!
If I could, I would measure all the time my boyfriend and I spend in the kitchen together. He wanted these for Christmas and I forgot to order them in time.
I have never seen these! They are awesome!
Oh how I would love these - what a way to start the new year if I am the lucky winner!!
I wish I could measure the weight of the amount paper, glass, plastic, etc. that I'm saving from going into the dumpster by recycling. I would love to be able to tell people how much trash I save from the landfill when they look at me crazy when I don't throw things away.
As a Ukrainian, I have found myself oogling over these since I saw them a few months ago. I would love to measure the hopes and dreams of the children of the world. They have so much positive energy that I think just the knowledge of how much would bring a smile to everyones' faces.
I really, really, really want these - I wish I could measure how cool I think they are :)
So cute! I would measure the hugs and kisses I get from my granddaughter!
Fingers crossed!
jan at thepaisleycupcake.blogspot.com
I added this to Facebook :)
Gosh, these are just so cute.
-Janel
These are so cute. I could actually display these in the kitchen. Thanks for sharing!
I would like to know how far the yarn would measure that I have knit with over the last decade!
I love these and actually tried to order some for my daughter for Christmas, but they were all sold out! I would like to be able to measure how high all the laundry and dishes I've washed over the years would go if it were all stacked up...surely to the moon!
Those are adorable! I'd love to measure the amount of days I should have called in sick but didn't cuz I'm a goody two shoes... ;)
The weight of the tears cried during those first few stressful weeks of being a new mom (which was just this past July for me).
So cute!
I would like to measure CORRECT ingredients the right way so that I can make some dinner for my husband one day. I always mix mexican spices with italian dishes, etc, and at a crazy big amount. :( I'm barred from the kitchen, and I would like to contribute!
aecopley at gmail dot com
How many sticks of butter I've used while baking
I'd love to know the weight of all the fingernails & cuticles I've bitten off in my lifetime... I should really stop!
And yes, these measuring cups are a delight! I'd love to have them in my kitchen.
I'd love to measure how many yards of wipes we've tossed since DS was born! :p
I'd like to know how many miles I've run after my escaped dog, so I could add them to my activity points in Weight Watchers. Heh.
I want to measure all the papertowels I go through cleaning up after a toddler...
Adorable! Much better than plain metal cups...
I would measure out all the gallons of uneaten bean soup. I know that beans are good for me, and I know that soup is awesome as a one-pot-and-you've-got-enough-to-last-for-several-days dish, but for some reason whenever I actually make bean soup I never want to eat it.
Love them! Want them!
how many diapers i have changed in the last 4 years with 3 kids!
loribunk@gmail.com
I would measure the amount of love I have for these measuring cups!
I love these-I would want to measure the amount of love around me!
I would like to measure the time I've wasted on the internet today! No, maybe I wouldn't. These are SO CUTE though!
I would love to measure the amount of walnuts I have diced in my 28 years. We bake a zillion nutrolls every year at my grandma's house.
These are super cute!
I'd like to measure how much of my weight gain is baby related versus what is strictly from late night buttered popcorn consumption.

I think if there was anything I could measure... I would measure all of my "good" moments. That way, in the harder times I could look at how I truly measure up, even when I make mistakes in life.
That or, I'd love to measure all the wet and sloppy kisses my little girls give me and dole them out when there not so little anymore!
I would like to measure all the oatmeal that has gone uneaten by my kids so far this winter!
Oh, I know I won't win, but those are so cute. I would like to measure the amount of patience it takes to potty train. I think I'm a few pounds short and will still be lifting dirty diapers for a while. :) such is life.
Wow. These are so utterly and completely adorable that my heart actually skipped a beat back there. I'll post on FB too, but I'm kind of tempted not to.... With such cuteness, who really wants to share?
I would like to measure the amount of time I've spent working on my house. Since the house is old and always needs new work, and we've just had to paint new trim, it feels like ages.
We bought my daughter her first Matryoshka in Moscow when she was 6 months old. They are special in our family. These would be special as well.
How about diapers I've changed? That could be an impressive total.
I would like to know the weight of ruined pizza dough (and bread dough) I have thrown away. Ah... someday...I'll get them both right.
Cathy
GASP! These are adorable!!! What I would like to measure if I could, are the measuring devices I have broken, burned, or melted in my 11 1/2 years of marriage, because frankly I have lost count! This was the first Christmas I DID not ask for a measuring device of ANY KIND! BUT I LOVE to bake and am rather good at it (toot toot). Thank you for this giveaway, because I ADORE these.
I "liked" you on FB and shared a link also ;o)
I would measure how much photocopied paper I have used in my lifetime if it were stacked. I'm guessing I would make it to the moon.

I love these, I love these, I LOVE these!!!!!
I would like to measure the amount of chocolate I've eaten so far in my life.... just to see:)
ADORABLE little cups!
I would like to measure how many chocolate chips I have eaten each day @ my daughters' nap times. I usually sit on my computer & read blogs while sneaking just a 'few' chocolate chips. My mind says I have about 10 a day but my hips...girl, they tell a different story! ;)
I'd love to know how much breast milk I have produced for my daughter since she was born. Just thinking about it makes me think that my body is totally awesome.
I would love to measure how far my 2 1/2 yr old runs in a single day (around a chair, back and forth from living room to kitchen, in circles, up stairs and back down....). Seriously, if I ran that much I would be ready for a marathon!
These are adorable! I would love to win them.
These are the cutest measuring cups I have ever seen. I would love to win.
I'd like to measure all the yarn I have knit vs. all the yarn I have stashed, and see which one of the two is a greater amount!
I would like to measure my yarns, to tell myself it's just the perfect number. *lol*
I would like to know the amount of caffeine I have consumed since I had my first child compared to the amount (or lack of) caffeine I consumed before. And the amount of money that I have spent on baby gear before realizing that you should just buy higher priced good quality baby gear. Oh, how many cribs, strollers, car seats, high chairs, etc... have been broken and then scrapped because of us trying to be cheap?
If I could, I would like to measure the amount of food my toddler has thrown on the floor (and I've had to pick/clean up). These are gorgeous, I love them!

I would like to measure the amount of sleep lost in raising two little ones back to back and how that contributed to my brain turning into mush. I can't even believe I took AP calculus in high school and now it takes me 10 minutes to figure out a simple algebra problem...like calculating fabric yardage for a project!! They're older now and sleep regularly so maybe my brain is recuperating.
Oh and I adore these, not sure if my husband would use them for his weekend pancake recipe but just seeing them on my counter might just inspire me a little more!
I would like to measure how many miles I have gone on trips. These are wayyy cute!
I love these...saw them in an airport catalog on a plane and then again today in a cutsie little shop downtown. I would love them!
These are the most adorable measuring cups. Love them!
i would like to measure the amount of money i have spent in the past weeks trying to distract myself from the physical and mental discomfort of being 37 weeks pregnant and "over it." or wait, no, how about measuring the amount of time left before this baby comes. sure it "could" be any day now, but i want to know when!
I would like to know how many stitches I stitched last year. And how many pounds of waste we have saved by using cloth diapers.
And I agree about NOT wanting to know how many pounds of sweets I have eaten this holiday season.
I would like to measure the amount of time I have wasted sitting in doctors offices instead of quilting.

I would like to measure how much time I have left on earth but since that's next to impossible, I will just measure flour, sugar, etc. lol

WANT! Don't know why, tho. My kitchen is 3x3 feet, and cook I like 5 meals a day, and still, started collecting (and displaying!!!) stuff like that some months ago... Definitelly adding that the cart at Amazon (as they have a crazy discount going on - 26cents off the normal price!).

If I could measure anything, I'd measure the time I waste on social media every day... maybe it's best to not know!

Wow! These are awesome!I love them but I have a suspicion that my kids would love them even more. Like baking time isn't fun enough all ready!

Too adorable for words
I want to know exactly how many second I have wasted and how many moments I remember and how many steps I've even taken and how many thoughts I've ever had. I'm a curious little booger, aren't I?

If I could I would like to measure the (immeasurable) patience my family has had with me as I've tried to (re)develop allergy friendly recipes for my son... some have been real flops, but we're committed keeping him safe from the things that make him dangerously ill, while trying to give him all the sweet treats and delicious memories every kid should have. I think my son and I would really enjoy measuring out ingredients together (he's now reading and doing simple math) with these cups. These would be a sweet, iconic way to remember cooking with Mom - the very design of these cups says "Mama"!
Those cups are awesome!!
I love to measure the amount of hair I have shaved off my legs since I started shaving!!
I LOVE these! Russia holds a special place in my heart. I would like to measure the number of miles I traveled while living in Siberia for 18 months.
I "liked" this on FB! :)
I would love to measure the ammount of sleep I have lost total over my three daughters. . . infancy and the teenage years!
I would like to measure how many baby wipes I used after the twins were born. Then I would like to measure how many homemade wipes I used after my "Wipes Stash" from the Diaper and Wipes shower my friends gave me, ran out. These are adorable. I love quirky little things like that. For Christmas, my husband bought me salt and pepper shakers that he had made to look like our kids. lol Very cheesy, but they're great. Plus, my 3 year old son gets a kick out of shaking pepper out of his head.

Hmmm... I have to think of what I would measure if I could measure so I can win these fun little cups... I would like to measure the amount of energy my little one puts out and then try to steal some of it for me! :)
I'd measure the weight of all the clothing that has been ruined since having kids 15 years ago.
Between projectile baby barf, coffee spills at 5 am after a night of zero sleep, marker mishaps & pretty much every craft project, it's got to be a lot. Totally worth it, mind you...I'd just like to know.
I'd also like to know the amount of time I spend repeating myself. I think that would be an astronomical figure. I swear they just hear the Peanut's teacher when I open my mouth: Wha Wha Wha wawa Wha.
Last but not least, I'd like to know the exact amount of guilt each child feels when they're in trouble. It would make parenting so much easier. I have a sneaking suspicion it is always zero...my middle might one might score 20% on a good day. Otherwise, zero all around but I can't prove it.

Mmmm...I would want to measure impact I am having on my children't lives..I am always feeling like I don't do enough, ah the plight of the mother...but if I could measure the weight of my life in theirs, I'm sure it would warm my heart over and over and over...alas, I guess I'll have to settle for that day far in the future when they get to tell me themselves what I meant to them

Love these! I think I'd like to measure/count the number of equations I have solved in my life. Being a math teacher, maybe I should work on figuring out that number :)
Okay so I usually comment thinking that I have said something inspiring or insightful or witty but it turns out NOT SO MUCH!
NOW I WILL JUST PLEAD!!! I have a nine year old daughter who wakes up and begs to cook us all breakfast. So pancakes a few weeks ago consisted of an entire-entire box of Bisquick (no I am not kidding, they were stick to your ribs thick). She has been perfecting her craft. So my plead is for the learning and enjoyment that this would give my little chef. Anything that helps her follow directions is AMAZING! I would love to inspire her to follow the directions more on the recipes she chooses with these beauties. Plus, they would be so cute on display in my turn of the century kitchen (it is actually a huge kitchen) which is great to cook in. THANK YOU FOR SHARING A GREAT PRIZE.

If I could I would measure the amount a momma's heart breaks when her baby has her first hacky cough and fever, the sound of every cough weighs so heavy. I guess the opposite would be the bursting joy when that same child giggles with delight - pure glee. Do you have a spoon in your magic kitchen to measure those?
What a fun, thought-provoking question! (And such cute measuring cups, obvi.)

I'd like to know how many laughs I've shared with people I love; my husband, my boys, MY SISTERS! There is no better remedy than a good, deep laugh. It gets me through tears, pain, heartache, fear, shame, embarrasment....and it's one of the cheapest things you can get/give. :D

I would measure the special moments I share with my husband and kids, to off weigh the not so special ones that sometimes seem to overwhelm me. I would measure love. :)
My daughter just (I mean JUST) told me about these! I have never seen them before. Could definitely use a set as I put one of my metal cups in the garbage disposal.... oops!
I would measure the amount of food thrown away that my kids won't try. SO PICKY! Someday they will eat more than white bread... right?
