FRIDAY {SURPRISE} PRIZE
And the winner of the Penguin & Fish Embroidery Patterns is Jacinda from Prudent Baby because she really wants them! No, just kidding, I can't win, but I do really want them. The real winner is...
Wendy who said "oooh, I want I want I want!!!" because SHE really wants them and because she does embroidery, and because she's from the UK and let's face it, our international readers don't get to enter fun giveaways very often. So let's give a big cheer for Wendy!
Wendy, send us your email address using the contact us form and we will get the ball rolling. You have 5 days to contact us before your prize is passed on to a new lucky winner.

I would make a bandanna-style bib for my five months old and a tea towel for me. This print makes me sing "Silver Bells"!
("City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style, in the air there's a feeling of Christmas..."
Jacinda, I absolutely love this fabric! I also love the apron you made with it. On Black Friday, I was number 10 in line at JoAnn's. I headed straight for that fabric and bought a yard of it. When I decided to go back for more later on, it was all gone! Crazy! I <3 Alexander Henry!

I would totally make the apron to channel my inner Mad Men lifestyle. Then I would proceed to put on my newly made apron, my pearl necklace and earrings, and vacuum the carpet while drinking a martini.
No, seriously.

wow, I would make a doll and a grainpillow to keep us warm in the winter.
I won the Penguin and Fish embroidery patterns!! Oh my god, how exciting! thank you so much!! I've just emailed you using the contact form and now I'm just shaking with excitement! thank you!!
Perhaps not original, but still a perfect gift idea. I would make that gorgeous apron with that gorgeous fabric and give it to my wonderful MIL for Christmas, because she inspired me to start making things with my own hands and using my own creativity...I love you, Mom!
I would make use it to make one side of an invisible zipper/reversible pillow. On the other side I would have to embroider "Christmas Kelly" for my aunt, whose birthday is dec. 25 & I got her in our family exchange this year!

Oh man, I LOVE this fabric. It is so Mad Men. :) I bought a couple yards on a whim awhile back...and by the time I wanted more, it was gone. So now I know for sure that it's super cute. ;)
I would make a tree skirt for my tiny, table-top tree :o)
Is it possible to fall in love with a fabric? I'm new to sewing, so I don't know if my feelings for this fabric are completely off-the-wall inappropriate or not, but I'm madly in love with it. From the moment I saw that apron you made, I knew I had to have some of this fabric. Had I only known it would sell out everywhere, ack! I will pine for it for the rest of my days if I don't win this giveaway, I suppose. :)
LOVE! I'd make a stocking for Christmas, because our family is still growing and we keep having to buy ALL new stockings so they coordinate. I need to make some, that I can add to as our fam grows, and this fat quarter would be a perfect place to start. woot woot
OKay!
Wanna hear a joke!?!
Knock, knock?
Owl!
Owl sing the praises of Prudent Baby every time I wear my Christmas caplet made out of this FABULOUS fabric!!
heeheeheee I hope I win!
Best Comment of the Week:
Oh fabric, dear fabric
My face is aglow
With your vintage-y pattern
Of Santas, and snow
Your children so joyful
Your colors so true
I cannot imagine
My life without you
You might be an apron
You might be a sock
To hang on my mantle
Right under the clock
You might be a garland
So crafty and fun
All neighborhood friends would say,
"Hey! I want one!"
So fabric, dear frabric
Please come home with me
And you belong in a package
Right under my tree!
I would make my first ever pillow and show my daughter what it really means to decorate for the holidays!
I would trim tea towels for my five sisters for Christmas! So Cute.
I would frame it and hang it in the playroom - love the colors and the pattern - cute
Ack! I am making a stocking with that tonight! And BTW--I got some on Etsy so if anyone can't find it at a fabric store, check Etsy!
That fabric is like a present wrapped up with a beautiful big bow - so full of possibilities!!
I would make some oven-mitts and potholders so I can enjoy that amazing pattern every Christmas from now on.
I would love to use it to make some nice thick cuffs on christmas stockings for the family :D
That is such gorgeous fabric.

This is so cute! I would have to make a shopping tote & always be reminded that I am shoping, the LUV of my spare time, just by looking at it!
Ohhhh wow. Not so sure I would make anything. I may just stare at it. SOO freaking cute. PROBABLY end up being a pillow. Or part of a wall hanging. Something that everyone sees all.the.time. :)

How cute is that! I finished two fat quarter aprons that I'm giving away for Christmas. It's so hard to give them away though, by the time you are done making them you somehow grow very attached to them. I love that stitch that you used!!!!
Super cute! I'd have to make that apron, although a half apron is very optimistic in my house. :)
I would make a cup cosy for my daughter's kindergarten teacher :)
I would make some Knitting project bags with it I think. So beautiful! Maybe a pretty skirt for my daughter. Stunning really! :)
I'd make a Buttercup Bag (made by Rae free purse pattern) to use just for the holiday season! Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love to get this product. I would make an apron for my Aunt. She always makes Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner for my family. She has no children of her own and so she is Mom to me. Her is a picture of her.
Sold out everywhere? Ugh... totally regretting not buying at least a yard when I saw this at Joanns last month! I knew it was Alexander Henry, but I thought "oh, I'll just come back around Chrismas ..." Lesson learned. If I had a fat quarter of my very own, I would totally copy you and make a fat quarter apron! We're having family over for Christmas brunch. For the first time ever. In our own house! So exciting! And I'd love to have a festive apron to wear just for the occasion. I think I would trim the bottom with white pompoms for extra kitch.
I love it as an apron. Not very original, but it would be excellent for holiday baking. What a fabulous fabric!
So nostalgic, hopefully it would create some nostalgia for my kiddos as a holiday pillow! It's so beautiful!
I bought a yard of it a few weeks ago, and have yet to decide what to do. It's still at my local Joann store. Maybe I should buy more and just give fat quarters as gifts.
I would make a table runner. Why? Because the rest of my houses halls are decked and look great. My table looks like crap! I can't figure out how to decorate a table! I know, lame!
Ha! I got a bunch of this at our brand new Joanns not long ago. May be the monitor but yours seems more red than mine. It wasn't until after I washed it that I realised it is Alexander Henry. Haven't decided what to do with it yet. Ben suggested a curtain for my little front window. Your apron is a good idea too. Hmmmm.

I never saw this one before. I really love the fabric! I love the idea of you making it in apron!! cute, cute, cute!!!
Oh I wouldn't make anything just yet...I would hug it and squeeze it and call it George. mmmm...nice fabric. nice.
It would make a fabulous apron. Not only is it super cute and festive...it's busy enough that it would hide the splotches and stains that I'd inevitably get on it. :)
If I won this awesome little hunk of fabric, I think I would be forced to make the apron! Come on......force me, force me!:) Oh, or...lightbulb! I could make an oven mitt!
It's so retro and funky....I love it!
I am in LOVE with this fabric! And I can only see a retro apron made to fit the wonderful print. I was totally born in the wrong era--I am a 50's housewife trapped in a 30 (something ;) body in 2010!
The print of the fabric is beautiful, I'd make a stocking filled with beading supplies for my DMIL (who is living in a nursing home). She is suffering from demencia (sp) and only remembers her childhood days. I hope this would bring back fond memories for her of her childhood Christmas joy.
I would frame bits of it and on the matting write different parts of the lyrics from Silver Bells, which has to be one of my all time favorite Christmas songs from my childhood!
I would make my 5 month old daughter a Christmas dress with that wonderful long sleeved pattern you hinted might be coming along soon on Facebook!
This retro print reminds me of my nana, she is 75. She makes Christmas dinner for us every year. She would love a new table scape... I would make her a table runner!
Reminants, fat quarters, scraps oh I am addicted to them. I bee line to the reminant section everytime I go to a fabric store. You always need plenty of options when it comes to fabric because when the mood hits you want to have what you need to make your craft.
Honestly, after staring at the fabric for about 15 minutes now, trying to drum up something special for such a cute and festive fabric...I think, I would have to make a totally funky, unique tree skirt with it...Of course, that would mean I would have to re-gear my tree ornaments and decorations to go with the theme...shucks ;)
