In Dallas...


...and loving it. Jacinda, Clare, Quinn, Scarlet, and I read through all of your Dallas-with-kids-tips, then decided to take your advice and head to the Dallas Aquarium.

It was wonderful...I mean, how many aquariums have a jaguar? We're having a blast and looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you Prudent Mamas tonight at the Prudent Advice Book Party. There will be champagne, sweet treats, gift bags, raffle prizes, and books to be signed. So bring friends or come alone and meet your friends Jaime & Jacinda there. Here's the deets:

Cool! I'd love to go to Dallas sometime when the babe is ready for that long a car ride. The Houston Downtown Aquarium has white tigers we plan on seeing next month.

We recently moved to a smallish town in Illinois so we could be closer to a "support system" for our lovely PeaPod. A town that I spent a good chunk of my childhood. My formative years, I suppose. And although the town itself is sort of "Neh", it is a short drive to Chicago, a place that we would jaunt off to for the weekend and see the sights. Mainly Shedd Aquarium I can remember the first time that I saw that giant squid that hangs from the ceiling, and how tight my dad held my hand as he convinced me to walk under. I must say that this is one of the things that I am most looking forward to in years to come: packing up a bag and hitting the highway to show our daughter the sea.
