Fat Quarter Apron Slideshow!
EEEEKKK! Aren't these all so pretty? As are the prudent mamas (and grandmamas and kiddos) wearing 'em. We received hundreds of entries to our first competition: The Fat Quarter Apron Contest. It was very exciting for us and hopefully fun for you. Next time we've decided we'll need reader voting, because it was so hard to choose that we had to implement a scoring system just to narrow it down to one winner. We'll announce soon, but in the meantime take a look at 100 (that's all i could fit in one slideshow) of the entries!

Oh how fun! Thank you for putting this together, great to see what everybody came up with along with your own.
I DO NOT envy you the decision you have to make. They are all so GORGEOUS!!! And I saw my quilted pocket apron too. WHOO HOO! Given some love to the UT fan who made the orange apron and is wearing the Power T orange shirt! You rock girl!!! This was so fun and I LOVE the slide show!!! Clever crafty women, ALL!!!
I LOVE all of these aprons! They are all so different. My faves are the Halloween black cats, the roosters, and the pears with the brown bobble trim. I saw mine on here, too! Now I'm inspired to make another (or two or three)!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Fat quarter aprons!
I'd need one of these quarters just to make a pocket! I come from a long line of short, fluffy women, so a full yard is more like what I use! These are darn cute pockets, however!

My apron is half sewn and pinned, laying on the sewing table. boo hoo! I had such good intentions, but you know life. . .always getting in the way;) Hurry up and start a new inspiring project. On second thought, I better finish my apron first. . . wait until monday!
I don't even like pears, but I would so proudly wear the one made of the sweet pear fabric. I may just change my mind about the fruit in general...I must know where that fabric was found.
My UT apron made the slideshow! That makes me super excited! Thanks Shannon for your sweet comment! I agree... I do not envy your decision. They are all so cute and fun!
I really liked all of them! It's so fun to see how many designs folks came up for the same concept. I want to make more!
Oh man, such a hard choice to pick just one! These are all so gorgeous. And I see my baby girl's chunky legs in there, as well as the one I made for myself (showing my, hopefully, not so chunky legs!) Thanks for including me!
WOW there are so many beautiful entries! How will you pick a winner? Saw mine in there too ;)
ohmygoodness! this is a such a GREAT project; I am still having fun making more and SO INSPIRED by seeing these 100 photos! Thanks for making the slideshow; it's amazing to see everyone's creativity and skills and every one I saw was just precious. Great job, ladies!

Thank you, thank you for showing off all the prudent crafter results, as this is even more inspiring, making me want to make many, many more. Christmas gifts perhaps? Excited to see mine as well, but even more pleased to see all the amazing trim options and applique possibilities too, as I can tell lots of people made their own bias tape too (my new favorite thing to do!)
Oh my gosh, these are awesome! My favorite is the chicken fabric with the red ruffle - I've had laying hens for the last year and I'm hooked. I think I need to make a hen fabric apron for when I'm working with my "girls" & gathering their eggs.
Love all of them! They look so great. I am sporting the bright blue and orange one with kitchen utensils on it. Also, the giant pile of fabric is what I picked up at the quilt show. Didn't expect to see that in the slide show.
Omigosh!! These are ALL so beautiful! My favorite is the one made with light blue fabric with the jars on it...I also reeeally like the ones with the atomic-like starburst pattern...and the matching "mommy and me" sets...
Okay, I really love them ALL :-) You all are so talented!!!
Wow! That's some stiff competition! I can see how you'd have a hard time just picking one winner! I felt honored to see my aprons in the slideshow!
LOVE & Inspired! I think my favorite is the orange and red floral with yellow pleated edge. I might just have to get my self together enough to make a few of these for holiday gifts!
So many cute, beautiful and different aprons. Look how many people you inspired. Love the slide show.
Wow, amazing aprons, ladies! I tried to pick a favorite and would see one and say, hey, that's my favorite, but then another appeared and another and I loved that one maybe a tiny bit more, and so on and so on......
Great job everyone....what an inspiration you ALL are!
Love the slide show! So much fun seeing what everyone made. They are all so darn cute!
I love the green park scene with the bears, and the vintage style Parisian print apron (40's/50's style?). They are so cookie-sweet that I just want to run to the kitchen and do some baking - and it's 28.5 deg C!!! (That's 84.2 deg F)
I seriously don't envy you the task of having to choose the winning apron! Maybe your own Prudent Babies can help you :)
Isn't it amazing, one pattern, so many variations, just shows how amazingly clever, creative and unique we are.
The aprons are wonderful...the only person who would have enjoyed more than me, my sweet grandma who passed at 103 yr young in 2003. Yay for aprons!!!
It's so great that you got so many entries! Just a suggestion: maybe for your next contest you could link it with a craft hope project (www.crafthope.com). All of the wonderful projects that everyone makes could go to charity. I think it would be really fun for everyone involved!
These are beautiful! Love the apron with the big quilted flower.
So, is this the winner? I love it!
So jazzed (really who uses that word?) that my apron made the slide show. Better you ladies having to pick just 1 than me, I would have had to make like 10 categories to have at least 10 winners!!
I saw mine! woohoo! There are so many great ones- I have lots of new apron ideas now :)
Loved the slideshow! All the aprons are fabulous. I can't wait to whip up a few more for holiday gift giving. So easy and a million different ways you could personalize them! <3
I am now sold on making these for Christmas gifts. I love the idea of making them for little girls. Great idea for the slideshow!!
This is great! I LOVE seeing all of them. My favorite, besides my little girl's Christmas one of course!, is the one with the big flower quilted on it and the embroidered herbs on the side. Way to embellish!!! There were lots of other ones that really were beautiful as well. Great job everyone!
I'm glad mine's in the slideshow, but gladder still to see all the other cute versions! Such great inspiration...thanks for putting that together!
Wow !! I can't imagine if I was you, choosing all those cute & pretty aprons must be a real hard work :)
Can't wait to make one for myself !!
Made the slideshow... holla! Great job all you ladies!
Wow, I'm up against a lot of other clever aprons. This will be a hard decision.

The slideshow is so much fun -- I loved this project and love seeing the many directions everyone chose to take.
Susan has a GREAT idea. Crafting and then donate the crafted item. Its like Bottles of Hope, only with fabric. Fantastic!
Thanks so much for the slide show-I was so looking forward to seeing all of these cuties! I too missed the deadline, but I am re-inspired to try 1 or 2 after looking at all of these!
