I'm sewing as fast as I can, summer dresses for our toddler sleep sacks and swaddles for our baby. I need a robot that will pre-wash and iron all my fabric for me, and then go make dinner.

I would like a device that automatically calculates yardage requirements for projects, and since I'm dreaming, it also coordinates those numbers with what's in my stash, and THEN tells me which fabrics in the store might be good matches for the yardage I have at home (and didn't bring a swatch of). I want an instant sippy cup filler, you know, the kind that magically know what and when your kids will want a drink and collects and fills the cups. I estimate it would save me at least 2 hours of work a day, being as I have 4 little ones currently and none of them seem to remember to put their cups in the sink. It would also save my knees, as the cups usually end up under the couch or the tv. :)

I WISH SIMPLICITY MADE A TIME MACHINE. IT WOULD SIMPLIFY MY LIFE SO THAT I CAN STOP TIME TO ENJOY DOING THE THINGS I LOVE LONGER LIKE SEWING, GETTING HUGS FROM MY DAUGHTER, AND SPENDING TIME WITH MY FAMILY. TIME JUST FLIES BY TOO QUICKLY. OH IT WOULD ALSO HAVE TO HAVE A FAST FOWARD BUTTON TO SPEED UP TIME DURING DOCTOR'S OFFICE, WAITING IN GROCERY LINES,AND WORK. LOL FOR NOW THOUGH THIS BIAS TAPE MAKER WOULD BE WONDERFUL.

I'm with you. Folding laundry is one of my least favorite jobs... it's not really the folding. It's the three little munchkins that mess up the piles and sorting as I go making it ultra frustrating. So I fold at night when I'm tired. Ugg! So laundry folding robot or a force-field of sorts to protect the work in progress.

How Simplistic would it be to have a washer and dryer as one machine, I dread having to go dig in to my top loading washer, then bend to throw my wet laundry in to a dryer while in those precious minute praying my young children are not getting in to trouble!, so why not make one machine that runs the wash then with out having to do anything it dries it too! yeah buddy, that would be my favourite thing ever! I love your blog I read it everynight as soon as my kids are all tucked in to bed. I will be sewing some of your darling items very soon! -

being 6 months pregnant is absolute bliss- until something tells you that your 10-month old has a special treat for you waiting in his diaper! this time around there was no morning sickness, little fatigue, but major MAJOR gagging at those wonderful diaper changing times- so if anyone could invent a machine to change diapers (or at least some sort of mind device that teaches super-youngsters to use the potty themselves!) would be fantastic :)

I woiuld really like some kind of toy sorter! My kids just put all little pieces, legos, barbie shoes, blocks, puzzle pieces, play food, etc. all in the toy box. I try to keep all the pieces to each toy together. But who has time to sort through them daily? So, I'd like a magical sorter and when it's time to pick up you put the small pieces and odds in and it sorts them into the right storage bins. Kinda like a change sorter! I know, I should keep dreaming! lol

Okay so for sure what I need to simplify my life would be some sort of device that stays under my daughter's bed. That way when she is told to clean her room which to her means stuff everything under her bed. My under the bed device would just blow everything right from under there and right back into her arms, so that she would have to put it back in its place where it really belongs. Why not blow it directly into where it belongs you might be asking...well this was about simplifying my life not hers, right? Plus she needs to learn to clean!

Cool beans! A bias tape maker would be the best thing right at this moment since I've recently discovered the pure joy in using homemade bt vs. store bought. Bliss might be more like it. What would be a great do-dad for Simplicity to make for me? How about an automatic laundry put-er-away-er. (Don't mind washing or folding...just putting it back where it belongs!)
